Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Ashley W.. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Ashley, appreciate you joining us today. So, let’s start with a hypothetical – what would you change about the educational system?
What I would change about the educational system is the lesson plan. The lesson plan should include finances (taxes, exemptions, inflation, balancing a checking account, investment plans, dividends, and pay rates) that are experienced in everyday life. Incorporating that knowledge would give kids a jump start on a different way to think about money. Which, would ultimately change their relationship with money when they are old enough to work, and/or start a business.
Often children are taught in school that if they work hard they will achieve the American dream. What I have learned is that generational wealth and nepotism has assisted many of the greats in achieving their dream. Work ethic and who you know are a leg up in any industry. So, I suppose making positive connections with people should also be taught in school.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
At the age of 25 I received my MBA with a focus in Human Resource Management. I was ready to jump start a new career in HR, but I kept running into the story of not having enough experience for HR positions. I had management, candidate screening/interview, and training and development skills. I decided since companies won’t hire me I will hire myself. I registered Business Service Solutions in 2015. I knew there was a need for helping job seekers present themselves in a positive, detailed, and accurate way on paper. So, I started offering resume writing, cover letters, and interview preparations. Now we offer a full line of HR services, Consultations, and Business writing for individuals and businesses. We even have a sector for Real Estate, because businesses are often seeking homes and commercial properties.
What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
The best source of new clients for me has been word of mouth, Google, and those Facebook friends that I’ve never met that are always supporting my business! There are numerous people that tag the business or even my personal page via social media when someone is seeking services. It’s so appreciated.

We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
I keep in touch with clients and potential clients by keeping records of email communication. Then a list is created with the customers contact information, and the services that were purchased. Someone will reach out to clients to ensure Business Service Solutions services assisted them in a positive and productive way. Check and see if there is anything else we can provide. Sometimes it’s an email stating that they will receive a discount when they purchase their next service.
Following up with potential clients is simply asking if they still need a particular service. If they no longer need the service, we thank them for contacting the company with hopes of having the opportunity to assist them in the future. Those are the tools that we have found affective.
