We recently connected with Ashley Veronsky and have shared our conversation below.
Ashley, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Do you wish you had waited to pursue your creative career or do you wish you had started sooner?
I definitely wish I would’ve started taking content creation seriously sooner. I believe a huge peak of this had been during the pandemic when everybody was inside on their phones all day. I had a decent platform of about 8000 followers. I always loved posting photos and videos and had a few brands reach out to me to promote their products. However, I didn’t surround my content with beauty and lifestyle. It wasn’t until this Year started, I decided to take content creation seriously! Since then, I’ve been honored to work with Prada beauty, Kiehls, Belif, Liquid Iv, IT Cosmetics, Liquid IV and other amazing brands. It’s been such an amazing experience using my platform of 11.7 K followers to come up with creative ways to collaborate and promote these beauty and wellness products. I never would’ve thought in just a short amount of time these brands would notice a micro influencer such as myself. Although the Instagram Algorithm has changed And growth has been harder and frustrating, I’m determined to keep up my creative journey. Additionally, I work full-time as a nuclear medicine research coordinator and I’m currently in school to be a mental health counselor. Wellness is so important to me and it’s truly a passion. I tie this in with marketing beauty & lifestyle. I believe the most important thing is that everybody feels confident and beautiful. Everyone has the right to express themselves in their own originality and that is exactly what the beauty world allows each and every one of us to do!

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I believe the very first big brand that had to reach out to me had been Iceskrt. It had been shortly after a post of mine had gotten a lot of reach this summer of 2022 . This was the biggest account that has ever reached out to me, and I was truly honored. I didn’t dive deeper into content creation Until I recently started taking content creation seriously as my New Year’s resolution. I remember going into it a little discouraged that some of my reels had gotten inconsistent views. Some would hit well over 1000, some would hit under. I started to just fall in love with the process of creating just for fun because that is some thing I was drawn to do regardless of who was watching. The less I cared about how many views I got and the more I just started having fun with it and not worrying about which of my followers thought I was annoying or over-posting, The more bigger brands would reach out to me to collaborate. It was definitely a rush and exciting, and my proudest moment was definitely when prada beauty reached out to me. The first was for a fragrance, and the second was when I was really starstruck. It was for the Prada bomb which had been advertised by Sabrina Carpenter. I was such a big fan and I felt so cool. Seeing influencers such as Karla J receiving the same PR packages I did , for example, a Maison Margiela Fragrance, had me in awe. I would downplay these accomplishments often until people started dming me asking how I got these brands to Collab with me. It’s truly been such an amazing, amazing and fun experience!

In your view, what can society to do to best support artists, creatives and a thriving creative ecosystem?
Don’t underestimate the microinfluencers. We are so eager. So grateful. I truly believe this inspires creativity and out-of-the-box thinking even more.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding thing about being a creative are the experiences connections you make along the way. Since I started taking content creation seriously I’ve been invited to some really cool events. It’s such a great way to meet Other creators and have that community feeling. I’ve met some really cool people and I believe it also has forced me to get out of my shell more. It definitely forces you to network get to know people. It’s just a great time and I’m honestly so grateful for every experience and opportunity that has come my way!
