We recently connected with Ashley Thompson and have shared our conversation below.
Ashley, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What’s the best advice you ever gave to a client? How did they benefit / what was the result? (Please note this response is for education/entertainment purposes only and shouldn’t be construed as advice for the reader)
One of the best advice I received was to not think I wasn’t qualified to help others because of my personal healing process. In 2019 I discovered I had fibroids after having a miscarriage. This was the beginning towards a consistent healthy lifestyle. Initially after becoming a Holistic Nutritionist I thought I needed to present myself having it all together in order to help others. Once I got out of my head and decided to face my fear through my transparency, people were drawn to my story. It taught me being transparent where you are is relatable and helpful for people’s journey.

Ashley, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Growing up I was passionate in healthcare and wellness, specifically in dentistry. I graduated with a Biology degree with hopes of continuing my education in dental school only to find myself expanding my knowledge working in labs. Later I fell into the role of becoming a cosmetic chemist and was in love. I enjoyed formulating products that created an experience for customers by improving their wellbeing but I knew there was more for me to do. What guided me back into nutrition was discovering I had fibroids in 2019. During this time I was pregnant and unfortunately had a miscarriage. This fueled me in having a more, consistent, healthy lifestyle. Reflecting back in that season and knowing my love to help others in nutrition and wellness inspired me to become a Certified Holistic Nutritionist.
As a Holistic Beauty & Wellness coach, I empower high-achieving women to trust their gut by ditching toxins to cultivate true beauty and radiate from within. My focus is to help them become their best selves giving tools to help flourish their wellness, My education background in Biology, cosmetic experience , and passion to serve women like me keeps me encouraged.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
The most effective strategy for growing my clientele is being myself. Being my quirky, authentic self allows me to show up for my clients and be relatable towards their needs. In doing this, I’m comfortable and transparent , which helps grow our relationships.
Other than training/knowledge, what do you think is most helpful for succeeding in your field?
What’s helpful in succeeding in this field is to always have a teachable spirit. Sometimes I’m inspired by my clients then there’s times I’m simply inspired being in nature itself. I love reading wellness books, researching, and listening to podcasts as well!
