Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Ashley Sturgis. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Ashley, appreciate you joining us today. Alright – so having the idea is one thing, but going from idea to execution is where countless people drop the ball. Can you talk to us about your journey from idea to execution?
The journey from idea to execution wasn’t a straight path for me—it was more like a winding road with lots of prayer, learning curves, and moments of bold faith. I remember the exact moment I realized I needed to launch my own event agency and coaching programs. I was sitting at my desk, reflecting on how often I’d helped others bring their visions to life but hadn’t fully executed my own. God kept nudging me, reminding me that the gift He placed in me wasn’t just for other people—it was time to steward it for myself.
The next day, I woke up with a fire in my belly and a notebook full of ideas. I wrote down everything I envisioned—events, workshops, and something that was heavy on my heart: preparing wives and wives-to-be to become powerful weapons of support, strength, and love for their husbands. But not in a way that diminishes their identity. I wanted to show women how to build their lives, love, and legacy without losing themselves in the process.
I believe women can be soft, safe, and successful at the same time. I coach them to desire a man, but not need a man on paper—because there’s a difference. It’s about creating space for love and partnership without sacrificing the call God has placed on their lives. Every woman deserves to see her dream marriage become a reality, but that starts with building her own foundation first.
In the first month of launching, I poured energy into defining this vision. Who were these women? What were their pain points? And how could I guide them into becoming the Proverbs 31 woman without the burnout or pressure to be perfect? That’s how A Kairos Experience and my coaching programs came to life—through a desire to help women live out loud in their feminine power, balancing grace with grit, and passion with purpose.
But launching wasn’t just about the message. I had to handle the behind-the-scenes work—registering the business, creating content, building a brand, and figuring out how to price my services confidently. I also had to confront my own fears. Was I ready to step fully into this calling? Could I balance business, family, and ministry? I prayed through it all, and every step brought clarity.
My coaching expanded naturally as I worked with more women who craved this transformation—not just in marriage, but in their whole lives. I began coaching women on how to build sustainable businesses, create systems for their homes, and show up as the visionaries and helpmeets they were designed to be.
Looking back, the most pivotal step wasn’t the website launch or the first contract—it was the moment I decided to stop overthinking and just start. Execution isn’t about perfection; it’s about trusting the process and taking that next small step.
To the women reading this who feel called to more—write it down, pray over it, and take one bold step today. Your future self will thank you for it.

Ashley, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Meet Ashley M. Sturgis: Building Legacies, Transforming Lives, and Executing with Excellence
If you’re reading about me for the first time—hi! I’m Ashley M. Sturgis, a woman who wears many hats but walks in one divine purpose: to help people build lives and legacies they love by aligning their visions with God’s timing and their unique gifts. I’m a wife, mom of six, event planner, business strategist, minister, and mentor. But at the heart of it all, I’m simply someone who believes in the power of execution with excellence, ease, and grace.
I got into this industry through a mix of personal experiences, a love for planning and organizing, and a deep calling to help others bring their dreams to life. For over 15 years, I worked in event planning, branding, and personal development—quietly learning the ins and outs of business, while also walking through my own seasons of growth, healing, and rediscovery.
My journey wasn’t just about executing events; it became about executing transformation—for myself and others. I saw firsthand how so many women, particularly wives and wives-to-be, were pouring into everything and everyone around them, but often neglecting their own dreams, health, and relationships. I knew I had to step in and help them build lives that honored both their personal aspirations and their divine callings.
What I Do
I’m the founder of A Kairos Experience, an event agency that curates unforgettable events, but I’m also the heart behind several coaching programs that empower men and women to step fully into their role as visionaries, husband/wife, and leaders.
I specialize in:
Event Planning & Producing – From weddings to corporate conferences, I create events that flow effortlessly, leaving lasting impressions.
Coaching & Mentorship – I guide women (especially wives and wives-in-waiting) to become weapons for their husbands while still standing strong in their identity. I teach them to desire a man but not need a man on paper—helping them build businesses, homes, and legacies that flourish whether single, engaged, or married.
Business Strategy – I work with entrepreneurs, event professionals, and leaders to streamline their businesses, develop systems, and create sustainable growth that doesn’t lead to burnout.
Through my women’s coaching program, I teach women to transform their inner and outer worlds—covering everything from self-care and physical appearance to financial literacy and personal development. In my wives mentorship, I help wives and wives-to-be create marriages that are not just beautiful, but deeply rooted in partnership, love, and purpose.
The Problems I Solve
Lack of Execution – I help clients move from idea to action. Whether it’s a wedding, a business launch, or personal growth, I provide the structure and strategy to ensure visions are not just dreamed but done.
Overwhelm & Burnout – Many of my clients are multifaceted, ambitious, and gifted—but they often feel stretched thin. I teach them to create systems, prioritize self-care, and honor the flow of their lives, not just the hustle.
Relationship Gaps – I bridge the gap between being a powerful woman and a soft, secure wife. I coach women to stand boldly in their purpose without losing their tenderness and trust in partnership.
Event Chaos – Whether it’s a wedding day or a large-scale conference, I bring order to the chaos, ensuring every detail is executed with precision.
What Sets Me Apart
What makes my work different is the blend of faith, strategy, and personal experience. I don’t just teach from a textbook—I walk this journey alongside my clients, bringing both wisdom and real-life lessons to the table. I infuse every aspect of my business with God’s principles, believing that anything co-created with Him carries grace and excellence.
I also believe in legacy over luxury. While I love creating high-end experiences, my real focus is on helping people build something that outlives them—whether that’s a family, a business, or a movement.
What I’m Most Proud Of
I’m most proud of the transformations I witness in the women I coach. Seeing a woman rediscover her worth, restore her marriage, or launch the business she’s been sitting on for years—that’s what fuels me. I’ve been able to guide women out of brokenness, trauma, and seasons of waiting, into a place of boldness and beauty.
I’m also proud of the faith & family-first culture I’ve built. As a mom of six, I understand the need for flow—and I teach my clients that success doesn’t mean sacrificing family or faith.
What I Want You to Know
If you’re someone with a vision on your heart, but you feel stuck or overwhelmed—I want you to know that it’s possible. Whether you’re building an event, a business, or a marriage, you don’t have to do it alone. I’m here to guide, encourage, and equip you with the tools and strategies to bring your dreams into reality.
I believe that you deserve to live a life that reflects the fullness of who you are. Soft, strong, secure, and successful. Let’s build that life together.

Have you ever had to pivot?
One of the biggest pivots I’ve ever made was stepping fully into coaching and mentoring women—especially wives and wives-to-be—while simultaneously growing my event agency. Initially, A Kairos Experience was all about curating beautiful events and creating seamless experiences. But as I worked with more women, I realized something deeper was happening. Conversations kept circling back to their personal lives—marriages in need of mending, dreams left on the shelf, and identities that felt lost in the roles they played for others.
I felt God pushing me to shift my focus, but I wrestled with the idea. I thought, “Who am I to guide women in this way?” I was already balancing life as a wife, mom of six, and businesswoman—taking on more felt overwhelming. But I knew this wasn’t just a career move; it was a calling.
The pivot happened gradually. I began incorporating more faith-based mentorship into my business, hosting small workshops and one-on-one coaching sessions alongside my event work. What started as a side offering grew into programs designed to help women build their lives, marriages, and legacies with purpose and confidence.
This pivot was life-changing, not just for my clients but for me. It taught me that sometimes God calls us to expand beyond what we think we’re capable of. I learned that pivoting doesn’t mean abandoning the original vision—it means evolving to fulfill it in a greater way.
Now, I’m deeply rooted in both event planning and coaching, and I see how they intertwine perfectly. Events bring people together, but coaching transforms the individuals attending them. That realization gave me peace in the pivot and clarity in my purpose.
To anyone feeling the pull to pivot, I’d say this—lean in, pray hard, and trust that the shift is often where your breakthrough lies.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
One of the most defining moments of resilience in my journey came during a season when everything felt like it was falling apart—personally, professionally, and spiritually. I was navigating the pressures of running my event agency, while raising six children and balancing my role as a wife and minister. Outwardly, it looked like I had it all together, but behind the scenes, I was facing battles that felt insurmountable.
A particularly tough season came when I had been evicted while pregnant the week before a wedding that sent me into early labor. It shattered parts of me I didn’t even realize were fragile. The weight of that pain, coupled with the responsibility of managing a growing business and leading others, felt unbearable at times. I remember standing in the middle of this wedding, having just delivered my baby three days prior, holding everything together on the outside while silently praying for strength not to break. Because after we checked out of the hotel we had no where to go!
But here’s what I learned—resilience isn’t just about pushing through; it’s about surrender. I had to surrender the need to control outcomes and instead trust God to rebuild what I thought was lost. I allowed myself to heal, to forgive, and to rediscover who I was outside of the titles I carried.
That season gave birth to some of the most powerful work I do now—helping women rediscover their worth, restore their marriages, and step fully into their calling. I began coaching women not just on business but on life, love, and legacy. I realized that my coaching was more than programs; they became reflections of my own journey of healing and resilience.
Looking back, I realize that resilience wasn’t built in the moments I felt strong—it was forged in the moments I felt weak but chose to rise anyway. That’s the message I carry into every coaching session and every event I produce.
To anyone reading this, facing their own storm—you are stronger than you know, and what feels like breaking is often just the birthing of something greater!
