Ashley , appreciate you joining us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
My Mission is to have “Inclusive Skincare for All Skin types”
When I 1st started The Lavish LipGlaze it was originally supposed to be a branch off of my Makeup business Makeup by Ashley K. I started with Lip products and lashes. I grew into formulating skincare products because my daughter has skin allergies and everything in the stores caused her to have allergic reactions so I started making my own products for her. On my journey of formulating skincare I realized that everyone’s skincare needs are very different. I have many different ppl reach out to me all the time asking for skincare advice which lead me to focus on inclusivity when making all my products. I don’t just cater to the basics: Dry, Oily & Combo skin I cater to all skincare issues that one may face and help ppl find a natural solution to their skin issues. All of my Skincare products are Vegan & Cruelty Free.

My Name is Ashley!
I am a Certified Makeup Artist & Skincare Formulator.
I graduated from Academy Di Capelli in 2019 with my certification in Professional Makeup Artistry.
I began The Lavish LipGlaze during the pandemic. I took a leap of faith & decided to invest a stimulus check into building a brand. A brand that at 1st started as lip products & lashes then grew into a Natural ingredient Skincare brand.
The Lavish LipGlaze focuses on healing troubled & hard to deal with skin by using natural ingredients. My daughter suffers from severe eczema & skin allergies. I started making my own natural products for her skin and decided to share my natural skincare remedies with everyone.
When I’m not doing makeup for clients I’m formulating everything from Lip care, Body washes, body scrubs, handcrafted soap bars, body butters & so much more. I incorporate natural ingredients in all of my formulations. The Lavish LipGlaze hosts a variety of products that are Vegan & Cruelty Free.
I think what sets me apart from other brands is my willingness to personally help every customer I encounter. A lot of times bigger brands don’t have time to assist & answer important questions ppl may have. I pride myself in having an excellent customer service support team of 1. That one being me! Lol
I’m proud Of the amazing support I’ve gotten from my family & community. I’m also proud of the success my business has seen so far and I plan on growing even bigger in 2023.
I want potential customers to know that I am here to help with any skincare troubles they may have. I’m here to direct you to the appropriate regime by utilizing natural ingredients. The Lavish LipGlaze caters to all skin types. Our ingredients are organic, vegan & cruelty free so if you’re into clean skincare we’re the one’s for you.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I built my audience on social media by posting tutorials and videos of me creating my products. When ppl are able to see how your products are made, the ingredients you use and how the products performs it starts to build a trust between you and the potential buyers. By being able to see you make your products by hand and that your using the ingredients that you say you are they’re more likely to follow or become a customer.
How to videos are trending. I utilize what’s trending such as audios and tutorials and I incorporate my business into them. I create content and a lot of it.
For those starting out I would say keep posting your content no matter what. Even if you get no views keep posting your content. The algorithm is a tricky thing you just got to learn how to master it. It won’t happen overnight so stay consistent and your social media presence will grow.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
In my opinion my most effective strategy for growing clientele is by utilizing social media and networking at vending events.
When I’m not creating content I’m doing vending events. It’s my way of actually going out and meeting new customers who are able to test my products. After vending events a lot of ppl who purchased from me there always return and purchase from my website as well.
I’m a social media influencer so it comes natural for me to post trending content while incorporating my business.
