Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Ashley Rose. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Ashley, appreciate you joining us today. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I began my modeling career in Memphis, TN, at 11 years old. I was introduced to runway modeling by a family friend, Deborah Robinson, who owned a company entitled The Robinson Production. In the beginning, I was very shy and afraid to even attend rehearsal, but once I completed my first show, I discovered something new – my alter ego. Once I hit the stage, I was completely different from the little shy girl I was during rehearsals. I continued to model with The Robinson Production until my junior year of high school, and then I decided to focus on sports and preparing for college.
After high school, I relocated to Nashville in 2003 to attend Tennessee State University, majoring in business management. Living in a new city and not knowing anyone, I took a long break from modeling – approximately 13 years. Until one day in 2016, I decided to join Facebook. Scrolling through my timeline, I noticed a post for an upcoming modeling audition. I thought to myself, hmmm, I haven’t modeled in a while, but I’ll go give it a shot. Well, I auditioned, I was selected to be a model and was asked to assist some other models with their walks and runway techniques. Following that show, I went on to participate in countless shows in the Nashville area.
I soon began to notice that I was continuously being asked to assist other models with their walks, poses, postures, etc. Then, one day, someone said to me “Ashley you should have your own Modeling School.” Prior to that conversation, I had never given it any thought. Soon after, I decided to put myself out there and host my own Model Coaching Classes. My first class sold out and was very successful, so I continued to conduct these classes bi-monthly. I decided to take it a step further and make a business out of what I enjoy doing. For the last five years, I have had the pleasure of assisting with some of Nashville’s leading fashion shows in roles such as Runway Coach, Fashion Show/Event Coordinator, and Choreographer
In the fall of 2018, I successfully executed my very own first fashion show, alongside a business partner, with a sold-out venue of 200+ guests. Throughout my modeling career, I have been featured on the local news in Memphis, TN, participated in countless runway shows and photoshoots for brick and mortar stores, boutiques, designers and vendors.
I now have my own production company (A Rose Productions, Inc.). We operate with a small team of four, producing fashion shows with as many as 250 guests. One of our largest projects is our annual Plus Size Fashion Show – Sorry For The Weight in Nashville, TN. This show was created to bring awareness to mental health and promote body positivity amongst the Plus Size community.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being a creative is the positive impact I have on one’s self-esteem and confidence. It brings me great joy to witness the confidence that one exudes after working with me, even after just one model coaching session.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My goal is to travel the world and affirm experienced and aspiring models inside and out, one step at a time, through my model coaching courses.
