Hi Ashley, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
I began taking a dive into financial literacy after a terrible divorce. I realized that I had to get a grip on only my finances as a newly single mother but also my credit. I needed to really understand the connection that money had with the world, my credit file and my future investments. As I began to embark on this journey, I was scammed by a credit repair company. After digging myself out of the hole from investing thousands of dollars, I vowed to be a resource for others like myself and do it an affordable cost by building a reputable and trustworthy brand at a cost that would not break the bank.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I needed to really understand the connection that money had with the world, my credit file and my future investments. As I began to embark on this journey, I was scammed by a credit repair company. After digging myself out of the hole from investing thousands of dollars, I vowed to be a resource for others like myself and do it an affordable cost by building a reputable and trustworthy brand at a cost that would not break the bank. I now have built my company 3 years strong offering credit repair, financial literacy education and soon tax preparation services. Bridging all of these components helps to set each and every client that comes my way up for success in their financial future. This industry is BIG, there are many like myself that do just what I do however, at AR Financial Solutions, we are trend setters. We have a unique approach to teaching our clients about not just finances but also the tools needed to do it on their own. We pride ourselves on being the go to for such an important aspect of a person’s life.
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
Since moving to Dallas 2 years I have began to tap into a market that is very unfamiliar to me. I have begin to reach out to the people and get face to face. The challenges that arise due to Covid-19 have been such a burden but through different safeguards we have started working at local events such as summer shopping and back to school events. As well as pop up vendor events around the DFW Metro-plex. While we still have a very seen social media presence our best source of new clients has been getting to the heart of Dallas and talking to the people of the community.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
After rebuilding from a divorce that left me 100k in debt, broken and a single mother I was able to establish myself again. However, in 2018 I was devastated by Hurricane Florence which slammed the east coast of North Carolina. I had rebuilt a home for my children, a sense of security and so many memories and in an instance, it was gone. While it had me down for a while, I was able to bounce back. I relocated to Dallas where I have made this home with my new husband and 2 beautiful children.
