We were lucky to catch up with Ashley Rew-Hunter recently and have shared our conversation below.
Ashley, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s talk about social media – do you manage your own or do you have someone or a company that handles it for you? Why did you make the choice you did?
SOCIAL MEDIA! I love it! I find it to be an amazing, creative outlet.
As a veteran Special Educator, I have spent most of my life following a traditional school pattern and job roles. However, I am a creative person and love to express myself in a variety of ways.
For over a decade, I used social media to connect with friends and family. When I began a social selling business 4 years ago, I fell in love with the ability to share products and experiences that my family loves with others.
From that beginning, my creative juices have grown, and so have my followers. I have become more involved with blogs, groups and collaborations.
I am most proud to have recently been accepted as a contributor for the Austin Moms Blog. I love this additional outlet to connect with moms in my area.
I would love you to connect with you too! Head over to Instagram and search for me @curlmecrazyashley
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Hi! My name is Ashley and I’m a busy Mom, Wife, Special Educator, Shampoo Dealer & Social Media lover! My life is super busy and is anything but dull. Over the last few years, my reach has grown from highlighting my families lives & our small businesses; to sharing my favorites brands, products and experiences. We focus on staying positive, enjoying life and having family fun. I pride myself on bringing a variety of authentic content to their followers.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
It may sound cliche, but I truly love connect with others and using creative means to do so.
How do you keep your team’s morale high?
In regards to my social selling business, I think connection is key. Whether it is with my customers or my team – being a positive influence is the most important. My team and I have weekly zoom meetings, yearly retreats and most of all, LOTS OF FUN! We have a true friendship and bond that keeps us going.
