We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Ashley Ramsey. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Ashley below.
Ashley, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Almost every entrepreneur we know has considered donating a portion of their revenue to an organization or cause – how did you make the decision of whether to donate? We’d love to hear the backstory if you’re open to sharing the details
We tithe 10% of our profits back into local non-profit organizations or charities in the different communities that we serve.
In 2024, from our 2023 profits, locally in Richmond, KY we donated to Redeeming Hope, Sleep in Heavenly Peace, and CASA.
We want to be good stewards of the blessings given to us, and we want to help make the communities that we live and work in better.
Redeeming Hope is building a home for young girls who have escaped from human trafficking and are doing the hard work of getting their lives back on track. One of the board members is a realtor that I happen to go to church with. I know the funds are being used prudently and the need is great.
Sleep in Heavenly Peace builds beds for children who do not have a bed to sleep on. They are sleeping in the floor, on a couch, or in a bed with multiple people. This makes it difficult to be well-rested, and that trickles down to mental health, the ability to function well at school, and so many other things. We were blessed to be able to sponsor a full bed build, which includes the bed, mattress, pillows and bedding to over 20 children.
CASA is an organization that provides Court Appointed Special Advocates for abused, neglected and dependent children within the local court system. I previously worked as a court-appointed Guardian Ad Litem, so this work is dear to my heart. The number of children in horrific situations is our local community is mind-boggling. Children deserve an opportunity to grow up in a safe and loving home, and CASA helps make that possible.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
It was divine intervention that led me to Springdale Title. I was working for a local law firm and my primary practice was family law. I really loved real estate, but I was not pursuing a job change. I received a phone call one day from a friend about a title company who was looking for an attorney. I agreed to an interview, because, why not? The rest is history as they say.
I started working at Springdale Title as a staff attorney 10/1/2012. I became a partner in 2014 and then in 2023 I took a leap of faith to buy out other partners and become the majority owner and CEO of the company.
Our tag line is “We Say Yes!” We want to be problems solvers rather than problem creators. We work with our clients through tough title issues to make sure they make it to the closing table. We accommodate odd closing times, days, and locations for clients who have unique jobs or life events that prevent them from closing during normal business hours. We also strive to provide up-to-date technology for our clients, including the realtors and loan officers that partner with us, because we want the process to be easy for everyone involved! We say YES to meeting any need that arises, and as previously mentioned, we also say yes to meeting needs in our communities. We are proud to offer great service, but we are prouder to be good neighbors!

How do you keep your team’s morale high?
Lead by example! There is no one on my team that works more hours than me. I don’t ask anyone to do something that I am unable or unwilling to do. I work alongside them to brainstorm, and problem solve, and I take their advice to heart. This has built unity and true family culture.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
Authenticity is key. You have to build genuine relationships by being true to yourself, your character, and your moral compass. This will lead you to others who share the same values and allow you to work with people you like and enjoy!
