Ashley , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Owning a business isn’t always glamorous and so most business owners we’ve connected with have shared that on tough days they sometimes wonder what it would have been like to have just had a regular job instead of all the responsibility of running a business. Have you ever felt that way?

I truly love being a business owner. I am proud of what I have built and I have no desire to ever get a regular job. Bonus, I get to be home with my kids.
They don’t know what it is like to not have mom at home and I work very hard to make sure they never do. It is not easy by any means and it can be easy to get discouraged but it is worth it knowing this business is mine.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

WonderFulls started as cupcakes and traditional cookies and evolved into what most people know me for and that is Decorated Custom Cookies.

As much as I loved doing Custom Work I have taken a step back to rebrand and move WonderFulls into more a Brand rather than being limited to cookies and baked goods.
I have a passion for sharing things I love or life experiences in hopes that it might help someone else out.

Can you talk to us about how your funded your business?

Thankfully my business did not need a lot of capital to get started. I had already baked for my family and would take pictures and eventually it got around that I baked from friends.
Each order I took, the money I earned went right into the business. I think it was about 8 months to a year before I actually earned any money that didn’t all go back into the business.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?

I am in this season of pivoting my business. I have learned that my time is much more valuable than I would of liked to admit. Work was consuming me and I was not in a good head space.
Taking a step back to rebrand has been such a blessing and I hope that I can be as successful in my new ventures as well.
