We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Ashley Pereira a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Ashley, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
I consider all of my projects meaningful, as I try to seek out projects that carries a greater purpose. However, there are three in particular that stand out due to the full-circle moments they represent. The first two involved collaborating with individuals who have had a profound influence on my life: global football icon Lionel Messi and international superstar Shakira. While I frequently work with high-profile talent and rarely get starstruck, it was impossible not to with them.
I’m originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, and grew up listening to Shakira’s albums alongside my twin sister—our summer days often included impromptu bedroom concerts to her album because it was the only cd we owned. When I was selected to manage the production of one of her music videos, I couldn’t wrap my head around it. It wasn’t until I was actually on set, watching her perform, that the reality of the moment truly set in. Observing her dedication, artistry, and professionalism up close was a surreal experience. As I stood behind the cameras, watching her dance, I was transported back to those childhood memories; All I wanted to do was go back in time and tell my younger self about this moment that I would be experiencing in the future. It was a powerful, emotional moment; One that reminded me how dreams can manifest in the most unexpected ways.
The second moment came when I had the opportunity to work with Lionel Messi, someone I had admired my entire life. Growing up watching him lead Argentina’s national team instilled a deep appreciation for resilience, humility, and perseverance in me. I got the chance to work in a production with him shortly after he fulfilled his lifelong dream of winning the FIFA World Cup, a triumph that also united and uplifted our country in a complicated moment. I remember watching his interview behind the scenes and trying to get the moment to sink in, only for him to step off set and personally greet every single crew member on his way out; It felt so refreshing to see someone so successful and idolized take the time to be appreciative and respectful, I walked out of that set feeling incredibly lucky, I can now say I shared a set and a conversation with one of the most influential people in my life and in history.
The most profound full-circle moment, however, came more recently through my work on the inaugural season of the World Sevens Football tournament in Portugal. As a passionate supporter of women’s football, this project was especially meaningful to me—it allowed me to contribute to redefining the sport while collaborating with an exceptional team and individuals I’ve admired for years. One of the highlights was meeting Tobin Heath, my favorite footballer and the person who originally inspired my love for women’s sports. I had spent years following her career—traveling to other states to watch her play and waking up at dawn to catch matches broadcast from overseas. I always told myself that one day I would work with her. Being able to accomplish that goal while contributing to a new groundbreaking chapter in women’s football was not only surreal, it was deeply fulfilling.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’m a 24-year-old creative based in Miami, originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina. I’m passionate about storytelling and bringing ideas to life—whether on set or in post-production. I see creative work as one of the most powerful tools for influence and connection.
My focus is on projects that are purpose-driven and elevate representation for new audiences. What sets me apart is the level of dedication I bring to every collaboration; I invest deeply in each project, not only to achieve exceptional results but to create work that carries meaning and impact.
I take pride in my sense of responsibility, resilience, and strong work ethic. My goal is to help clients bring their vision to life in a way that is aligned, intentional, and enjoyable throughout the entire process.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
For me, the most rewarding aspect of being a creative is the ability to bring visions and ideas to life, especially those that provide representation for overlooked or underrepresented audiences and are driven by meaningful purpose. I believe content creation is one of the most powerful forms of influence, and by dedicating myself to projects with meaning and intention, I experience a sense of fulfillment that is truly unmatched.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Word of mouth has consistently been my most effective source of new clients. I approach every project with complete dedication, which has allowed me to build lasting relationships rooted in trust and mutual respect… often leading to referrals and continued collaboration. I’ve always believed that relentless curiosity and commitment can surpass raw talent. I enter every set with the mindset of an underdog: eager to learn, absorb knowledge, and remain teachable. Each project presents an opportunity for growth, and by fully embracing that, I not only expand my skill set but also continue to build meaningful connections with clients, collaborators, partners, and mentors.
