Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Ashley Masters. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Ashley, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
My mission is to heal and to help people find their own unique path to healing. I don’t believe in a one size fits all approach, we are all such complex creatures with different backgrounds that shape and mold us. Despite what we’ve encountered, our ability to transform pain into purpose never ceases to amaze me and that spark is what I love to ignite in my clients. The shift from, ” This Hurts” to “This hurts but I’m actively choosing to heal my pain and help others too!” Fascilitating the space for my clients to deep dive is one of the most important pieces of what I do.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’m one of those people who get to do what they love everyday and for that I’m eternally grateful. I’ve been playing with flowers and plants and mixing potions since I was a child, I began a yoga practice when I was 15, and in 2007, after the birth of my first daughter I received my first massage, it changed my life and within 6 months I was enrolled in massage school. I was somehow able to combine all of my passions into a livelihood.
Ashley Masters Healing Arts is my massage and energy work practice, I use all of my gifts and over a dozen. modalities to offer healing, relief and a safe space for my clients to find their own healing path. I believe there’s a tangible connection between the emotions stored in our bodies and the physical ailments that present themselves. We just have to be patient, persistent and open ourselves up to listening to what our bodies are telling us. Facilitating that connection for my clients is more rewarding than I can tell you.
Five Goddess Farm is my Tea Room and Apothecary. I offer herbal consultations where I create custom blends of teas for clients depending on what they’re experiencing in their bodies, minds and lives. Herbal medicine is a potent and powerful way to heal from the inside out. The tea room also serves as a transition room for my massage clients so they don’t have to rush back out into the crazy world. A cozy spot to sip tea and process is so necessary and a beautiful addition to the healing that takes place.
The Jade Room is my yoga space. I offer weekly classes and monthly sound baths. This small space is meant for internal transformation. No mirrors, no heat, no loud music, just you and your mat! Returning to the basics is often what our spirit needs most.
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
I’ve been so fortunate that most of my clients come from word of mouth. I maintain a consistent social media presence and that has helped as well. I offer so many complimentary modalities that once my clients experience one modality, they usually come to me in other capacities as well.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
There’s a quote by Mark Twain that I absolutely adore, “Find a job you enjoy doing, and you will never have to work a day in your life.”
My work is most definitely work but it’s also a source of immense joy for me. I think finding joy in what you do makes the world of difference, it becomes this reciprocal relationship between you and your clients. I’ve found the more joy I derive from my daily habits and activities, especially in relation to work, the more successful I am. That joy is felt by my clients and it keeps them coming back. I’ve really focused on building and nurturing relationships with everyone that comes to see me and it’s tangible.
