Hi Ashley , thanks for joining us today. Alright, so you had your idea and then what happened? Can you walk us through the story of how you went from just an idea to executing on the idea
Krom Kreative Social Media Marketing boutique was launched in 2019. The idea was born after I got laid off from one job. I remember sitting on the couch and saying to my family “That’s it. I’m starting my own business”. I took a corporate job for about a year and worked there while building my social media business on the side. I was about to be married and found all my wedding vendors on social media. I shared with them my social media knowledge and it just spiraled in the best way. I left corporate and started another business -dog walking/sitting. I was juggling Krom Kreative and building up another business to ensure a steady revenue stream. It was the happiest and healthiest time mentally. I sat at my computer to create content, then exercised dogs in the sunshine- balance.

Ashley, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Clients hire Krom Kreative Social Media Marketing Boutique typically for two purposes. To skyrocket social media exposure, engagement, and get more leads. And then, to help streamline B2C communication by developing social media content, establishing their business’s Google presence, and auditing websites. Clients like that we have a digital marketing background and know everything ties together. For example, if I am pulling information from your website to create content and notice a link is broken, your web copy isn’t SEO-friendly, or your Google reviews are old, I will mention it to you right away.
At Krom Kreative, we have a boutique approach where we assess all inquiries and carefully select only a handful of brands we believe we can market best. We do small projects like product, film, and batch reels or create post bundles for clients to schedule themselves. Our monthly clients if I cannot count them, on one hand, it’s too many.
I am most proud of the client communication relationship. Business owners conduct business round the clock. One of my favorite quotes is “I left my 9-5 to work 24 hours a day. Our clients call and text. I am easily accessible. That’s what sets Krom Kreative apart, you know who is handling your business on social media. You can reach out when it’s convenient for you.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
To this day our clients are all referrals from other clients. I’ve never spent a dime on advertising. I don’t say that to be braggadocious, I say that to show how the power of reputation and work can set a company apart. I treat every client like they are my only client and they feel that and appreciate it. That’s how it should be. Never a Rolodex, an actual working relationship. Being a small business supporting other small businesses is a beautiful little world I am blessed to be a part of.
Can you open up about a time when you had a close call with the business?
It was this year actually, my 5th year in business. I signed a new client and weeks later, the client grew tragically ill. We had a 3-month contract and during that time we bounced around to different point people, as they managed the business as best they could, given the circumstances. All hands were on deck showing patience, understanding, and kindness during a difficult time. As a courtesy, we paused the account to give them time to strategize their business plan and honored to resume and finish the contract when ready. Unexpected roadblocks and life events are inevitable but no one could’ve prepared us for that. The same month. I had a client end services which was financially stressful. We reached out to previous leads and signed a new client. Faith in the business pulled us through.
