We were lucky to catch up with Ashley Jasper Styles (LegacyBuildinglady) recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Ashley , thanks for joining us today. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
Somatic Cleanings & healing work.
I had the pleasure of working with Innate Wholeness Balance for several months & we were able to make some major breakthroughs in helping me to cleanse out old traumas.
Nurturing and cultivating a healthy concept of yourself.
This kept me struggling for a while, not really seeing myself as competent authority in my endeavors. However, through my own personal diligence as well as with the help of mentors & other resources, I am feeling more confident than ever in my capabilities to support my clients.
Mentorships & Consultations
I am profoundly grateful to have some incredible mentors & resources that have helped me grow in skills & competency in my craft as a Notary.
4. A DOPE support System!!!
I am so grateful for my support system. My supporters and encouragement squad in The Transformation Education
Alliance as well as others. They have given plenty of talks as well as tasks that encourage me to really put myself
out there & show myself that I am capable of being of great service to my clients.

Ashley , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Well, I have been a notary since 2005. I also have a background in insurance.
Currently I am working with Notary Clients that operate in the Private arena as well as traditional clients as well. As a notary, we can handle traditional notary work. Witnessing documents such as Power of Attorney, Will, Trusts, etc.
Well, what I feel separates me from most notaries is my work on the Private side. For example, I work with clients who would be classified as Living men & women that may need to handle a dishonor that may have occurred between them and a corporation or entity. For example, I worked with a client that was dishonored by a finance company & I was able to witness that dishonor which allowed him to discharge his vehicle.
What I have learned in serving in this capacity over the past 3 years plus is that this happens more than most know. However, it is up to us to really know the law & when dishonor is occurring so you can handle it accordingly and receive proper remedy.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
I am the epitome of resilience!!! Lol
Before diving more into my Notary Work, I faced my share of setbacks professionally & personally. Overcoming domestic Violence, financial challenges, limiting beliefs, as well as various corporate traumas.
Along the way, even though I did not always feel 100 percent confident in who I was or my abilities. I always knew that I was destined to work for myself & thrive in that capacity, so I stayed after it and I am grateful now that I i because I am experiencing greater success, still learning every day and I am meeting some great people along my journey.
In short, even when things are challenging or you feel you may not have what it takes, keep going, keep learning, and keep growing & one day sooner than you think, all will align for you, and you will be glad you kept going.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
The biggest lesson that I have had to unlearn is playing down my own greatness. If you do, people around you will let you and take credit for all the good you are doing. Now, of course I love collaboration & being a team player. However, it is important that each person on the team knows their value & their worth so that they can show up and deliver accordingly Anytime, I have doubted or played own my gifts, it has always been to my detriment so no more.
