Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Ashley Heimerman. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Ashley, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
It was the beginning of the pandemic, I was home on maternity leave with my first sweet baby girl. I saw a need for adorable and affordable clothing. I was constantly looking to clothe my new baby in the most stylish outfit options. This was at the beginning of the pandemic, so online shopping was at it’s high! I was furloughed for a brief moment, so basically just extended my maternity leave and opened Posies + Grace! I was so excited about this to find vendors, and learn to do customs/sewing and fill a need of the most adorable clothing at affordable prices!
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
When I first initially started Posies + Grace, it was about finding all the right vendors. As my business progressed, I found that there was a need for one of a kind items! I begin making more items then vending them. I am proud of the drops that I plan, to showcase different styles, custom work and making your babe the cutest in town! I also take custom orders, from birthday outfits, to sibling matching, or even for family pictures!
Do you sell on your site, or do you use a platform like Amazon, Etsy, Cratejoy, etc?
I currently use a website that I created- www.posiesandgrace.com I use social media a lot for advertising, and even a VIP group for exclusive items. I have thought about adding in etsy for a higher content reach and to grow my customer base. I have found that when people think of custom or handmade items, they think of Etsy!
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Instagram for sure, using hashtags and the searching for certain items that mama’s do in their spare time. Follow us: www.instagram.com/posiesandgrace
