Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Ashley Chambers. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Ashley , thanks for joining us today. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
I knew I wanted to pursue a creative path professionally while working in my career as a Registered Dental Hygienist. After being a hygienist for almost 10 years I’ve found myself lost and feeling very stuck. Almost like I’ve lost the one thing that’s always made me who I am, or the thing that’s always been so interesting to me. I’ve always been into art in all forms, but never really had the courage to go for any creative career full force in fear that I would lose something that was possibly never meant to be mine.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Yes.. so my name is Ashley Danay Chambers. I got into modeling at a young age just from people spotting me and saying that I should model. I also used to compete in some pageants around my hometown while in highschool. Honestly, my creative journey hasn’t been an easy one. Mostly because this field takes lots of courage and belief in oneself. I have struggled with both of these issues a lot in my past and I’m still figuring out ways to overcome.
Right now I provide modeling services to companies and brands who need me to help them sell a product. On social media, I provide marketing videos to help my community learn about new makeup and hair products.
I like to think my honesty sets me apart from others. I’m not that great of a fibber so it’s impossible for me to try and sell something that I don’t truly believe and trust.
What am I most proud of? I would say my perseverance. I’ve been through a lot in my life and I’ve wanted to give up so many time but opportunities keep presenting themselves as soon as I try to throw in the towel. Honestly I thought I would be further, but it’s happening all in God’s timing.
I would want brands and potential clients to know that I’m truly passionate about what I do and what I advertise; and also that the best is yet to come. It’s only going to get better from here.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
What’s driving my creative journey is the ability to be able to wake up one day and say that I chased what wouldn’t stop chasing me and it worked. The ability to prove to myself that I wasn’t delusional all along and that dreams do actually come true even if the plans failed and the timing was a little off.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
A lesson that I’ve had to unlearn is that if you just show up that things will start happening. That saying that “faith without work is dead” is so true. The backstory is that I moved fo Atlanta thinking that I was just going to be seen and get signed and end up everywhere, only to realize that these other creatives are really grinding and putting in a lot of work to get to where they’re at. So it’s only right for me to follow suit.
