We were lucky to catch up with Ashley Bozek recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Ashley , thanks for joining us today. It’s always helpful to hear about times when someone’s had to take a risk – how did they think through the decision, why did they take the risk, and what ended up happening. We’d love to hear about a risk you’ve taken.

I can’t remember a time when being in front of people, or an audience, wasn’t something I was chasing or dreaming of! From a very young age I would set my basement up like a stage and put on performances for anyone who would watch. Or use old cardboard boxes to carve out a TV and broadcast my next show…What was the dream? To some day be a Disney performer/princess

So it was no surprise to anyone that I pursued a degree in the performing arts in college, but once I ended up graduating I had little to no money to be able to relocate to Orlando, or New York or California. I ended up taking an orthodontic job to just get a little nest egg and it took so much time and effort to build I got sucked into the swirling idea that leaving that all behind to go try to make it as a performer was too dangerous a path and that I needed to focus on truly building a life for myself.

That never stopped my passion and desire to perform, but while continuing to do as much community theater and side gigs as I could I ended up going back to school to become a physician assistant and have worked in surgery the last 10 years

What does this have to do with Disney you ask? Keep with me

The passion I had kept burning inside of me to make any form of performing a part of my life and has only continued to grow and ignite every year. Finally after having my first child I took her to Disney to bring the magic that it always gave me to her and I realized it needed to be a part of my life.

After all of the hours and time spent making that trip as magical as possible I realized that not everyone heading to the “most magical place on earth” would find it as pleasurable as me if they didn’t know how to navigate their journey and make the most out of a Disney vacation

So I took the leap of faith this past October and started my own Instagram and YouTube channel @beautyandthebozek to slowly build content both if you have been to the parks 1000 times and are looking for something new to do or place to eat, or if you never even knew there were 4 parks at WDW and you needed to start from scratch. I want to help make anyone going to my favorite place on earth the most magical experience ever!

No I didn’t become a Disney princess by that definition, but I now make videos, utilize my performing skills, educate and more importantly make Disney a part of my life every day and I couldn’t be happier

I have since collaborated with multiple brands including WDW magazine, the MagicPin app and Fahlo to help spread the word and keep the magic alive

I continue to dream of making this a complete full time job, but in the meantime I am an annual pass holder in the parks every month keeping all information up to date including festivals, merchandise and ride/ lightning lane or park hopping strategies

And I continue to feed my passion and live my dream on entertaining others

I specialize in Disney (with Universal being introduced here in 2025 as well) to educate, entertain and inspire both avid fans who have been to the parks hundreds of times, or someone looking to go for the first time and has no idea where to start

I am not a travel agent, so I don’t book your trip, but I would love to be a reference any one who hears that someone is going to Disney/Universal would give so they can look at the pages/videos and have a better idea of how to tackle what can otherwise seem like a daunting endeavor so they can maximize the magic of every day

I talk about park strategies, lightning lane tips and tricks, must do’s and maybe some not so ideal things. If you’re into merchandise I show you where you can buy the new items just released and I vlog all food and drinks in the parks with reviews. I’ll also bring you around all resorts I stay at as well to give you an idea of what to expect from value to deluxe…. All sprinkled in with just silly fun videos to keep you smiling

I recently collaborated with WDW magazine as well to help you stay up to date while showing you how you can get your own subscription there which can include WDW, Disneyland and even the Disney Cruise line

I’m trying to save the animals one bracelet or plushie at a time collaborating with Fahlo which are found in the parks that track a real life animal and sponsor their organization

Overall my goal is to be your constant audition for the Disney best friend you never knew you needed to bring more Magic into your life

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?

The lesson I had to unlearn is that “it’s too late”.

It truly doesn’t matter how old you are, if you’re the most knowledgeable in your field, or most up to date in the technological advances to form your craft!!

If you have passion and desire, all you need is COURAGE!!

Courage to fail and get up and try again.

Courage to look any critique or criticism as an opportunity to learn and grow to only get better!

Courage to stay up those late nights editing, practicing or reading to further educate yourself

But most importantly for anyone out there looking to put yourself out there on social media…the courage to press upload on that FIRST post/reel! You CAN do it and it’s never too late to start! Remember what makes your journey and YOU unique and go for it

Is there mission driving your creative journey?

If all dreams could come true the desire would be to make this a full time job vs a part time job financially so my soul focus could be on this passion and craft and I could put even MORE content out there on a daily basis and grow the platform
