Alright, Ashley thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you recount a story of an unexpected problem you’ve faced along the way?

COVID-19 was not only very unexpected for the world but for business owners. My business took a revenue loss due to the restrictions that were set. Many planned events were subsequently canceled due to the implementation of a social quarantine to protect public health. It was tough because nobody was prepared for this happen.
Facing these challenges, we still wanted to find safe ways to celebrate for special occasions. We started decorating for more outdoor events like drive by baby showers, graduation celebrations and decorating intimate events instead.

Hi, I’m Ashley the owner of Events By Ashley B, LLC.

I realized planning and decorating for events is my passion when I really started to get recognition from family members and strangers about how they loved my work and wanted me to do things for their events 11 years ago. I started spending a lot of time planning and creating so many things and really enjoyed it and turned my passion into a business.
I carefully curate every detail of our client’s events while taking the stress out of planning so they can enjoy every minute.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

Although social media is a great platform to gain customers I have to say that I truly believe that the support to help build my reputation came from positive reviews from customers. All it takes is word of mouth to travel to gain reputation. Once you leave a great impression they will tell someone about their experience and you can easily gain more clientele.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?

Networking with other businesses in my field really helped me. There’s no better way to raise brand awareness than meeting new people, telling them who you are and what you do. Networking with others lead me to many of opportunities.
