As the founder and executive producer, I’m driven by a simple mission: to create safe spaces for women to tell their stories and leverage the power of video to amplify their voices.

From Crisis to Opportunity: My Unexpected Path

My journey to entrepreneurship wasn’t a straight line. Life threw me a curveball when my husband faced a lengthy prison sentence. It was a defining moment. I could have let it break me, but instead, I chose to fight for my family’s future. It was during this challenging period that I discovered a hidden talent – creating engaging video content.

What began as a part-time experiment with my husband, making product reviews and promotional videos, blossomed into a thriving business. We earned top-rated seller status on a popular freelancing platform, serving thousands of clients worldwide. This unexpected success story planted the seed for Pique Video.

Building a Platform for Women’s Voices

Pique Video became more than just a video production company for me. Fueled by my own experience, I envisioned it as a platform for underrepresented women to showcase their talents and contribute to the narrative. We have a diverse team of female creators who bring their unique perspectives to every project.

From collaborating with major brands like Toyota and Walmart to creating groundbreaking documentaries for the City of Dallas, we’re proud of the impact we’re making.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?

I had to unlearn that my earning potential was limited, and that I, as a woman couldn’t reach for the stars in my production company.

The backstory is that when I was selected as the vendor for a major documentary project, I almost let my limiting beliefs make me submit a proposal for half the amount it was worth. After working through those limiting beliefs, I did a career audit, saw myself clearly as the badass I am, reworked the proposal with industry standard pricing…. and they happily accepted.

Lesson learned, don’t limit your earning potential.
