Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Ashlei Brianne. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Ashlei Brianne, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
Currently working on a meaningful project/s. Engulfing myself in writings + pairing it with harmonies that flow from my mind. Looking forward to releasing new music + sharing something I love so much. Working on my latest single “Confession” reinforced the love I have for the creation process as well as sharing in it with everyone who’s path it may cross. Meaningful A.F. Grateful to be in this space I cultivate.
Ashlei Brianne, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Hi im Ashlei
call me Ash, I am a songwriter/singer/musician (Ashlei Brianne)
Based in Colorado, I am an adventurous soul, loving the outdoors + dogs (obviously).
Music has taken the front seat for me over the last 5 years. I have loved connecting and working on passion projects with other artists as well as writing for myself- its like therapy for me.
Im grateful to have shared music and played in my favorite mountain towns as well as all along the Front Range here in Colorado.
I released an EP “Catching Perspective” in 2018 and most recently released my single “Confession” (available on all streaming platforms). I wrote “Confession” about the regret of pushing things away. Safety in staying closed, the hopefulness and fear of the uncertainty- making messes along the way. So yea- I hope when you listen it makes you feel somethin’. I’m grateful for all the beautiful support I have been shown. My vision is to make music a full time lifestyle, so I am working hard on making that dream a reality. Looking forward to 2023!
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The reward has become more about the risk. Putting yourself out there for anyone to have access to you is a risky feeling- not gonna lie. But when you do things that have risk, I have found the most growth happens. Getting comfortable with being uncomfortable is really quite beautiful. So I test the conditions and adjust and it is truly pretty empowering. Being an “artist” to me is really just finding that happy place inside and letting your art flow from there. Tapping into that space has been the most rewarding for me, and its an everlasting love.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My goal is to make music making/ songwriting a full time lifestyle. I am looking forward to that day to come!
