We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Ashia Greere. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Ashia below.
Ashia, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to go back in time and hear the story of how you came up with the name of your brand?
I didn’t came up with Ashia flava’s right away. It took me over a year. I wanted something that stood out and represented me well. I always knew my flavors were bold and different. I always get great feedback on my flavoring. That’s when the name came to me.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My first job was at a nursing home as a dietary aide. From there I always been in the kitchen. Besides me coming from a whole family full of cooks it just came natural to me. I learned how to cook from my mom and my fairy grandmother. (Grandmother) lol. Growing up that’s how they showed love by cooking and coming together. The older I got I realized I wanna cook and take it to another level no one in my family has took it too before. Internet services I provide are catering, private traveling chef. If you don’t want to cook I will be more then great full to come to your home and cook for you. I also sell plates on Sundays as well. What sets me apart from others are my flavor’s, plating, my different cooking idea’s.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I really think that helped me was word of mouth and social media.!Once I would cook something for someone and they love it they will go and tell the next person how great my food is. Also posting on social media.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
The lesson I had to unlearn is stop cutting deals with friends and family. If they love and respect you and your business they should pay what anyone else should.
