We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Asheton Reid. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Asheton below.
Asheton, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today How did you come up with the idea for your business?
I founded RockerBelles with a focus on fashion and clothing, drawing inspiration from my love for music, rock and roll, and the local music scene. I wanted to create a space that offered unique, edgy fashion pieces that resonated with the rock and roll lifestyle. Over time, I envisioned expanding RockerBelles beyond just apparel. My goal now is to create a comprehensive lifestyle brand that includes not only fashion but also elements that reflect the rock and roll ethos, such as events, community involvement, and other offerings that embody the rebellious and vibrant spirit of the brand.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’m Asheton Reid, a public figure committed to addressing the South Carolina Venue Crisis, with a focus on preserving local music venues and tackling issues like liquor liability insurance.
As the owner of RockerBelles, I am passionate about music and am currently in school to become a Sexologist. I am evolving RockerBelles into a lifestyle brand within the next year. My interests are diverse, ranging from rock and roll and local music scenes to yoga, hiking, and a fascination with the macabre. I am also a dedicated animal lover and strive to leave the world better than I found it.
With a rich background that spans corporate America and the challenges of small business ownership, I bring a unique perspective and wealth of experience to my endeavors. My journey continues to shape my path as I work towards making a lasting, positive impact on the world.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
My journey is a testament to resilience, from the corporate world to owning RockerBelles.
Several years ago, I left my demanding corporate career to follow my passion for music, fashion, and making a positive impact.
Launching RockerBelles was challenging, with financial pressures and logistical hurdles.
Less than a year within opening RockerBelles first brick and mortar, I was going through a divorce, which added emotional stress.
Despite these obstacles, I remained committed to my vision. I found strength in my passion and support from friends, overcoming both personal and professional challenges. Today, RockerBelles embodies my journey and values. I am also studying to become a Sexologist, furthering my ability to impact lives positively. My story is a reminder that resilience is not just about enduring hardship but thriving in the face of it, turning challenges into opportunities for growth

We’d love to hear the story of how you turned a side-hustle into a something much bigger.
I started RockerBelles while working full time in corporate America, utilizing pop-up events, online presence, in-person networking, and social media engagement to build and grow the RockerBelles brand. This dedication and multitasking highlight my commitment and entrepreneurial spirit.
