We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Asaf Arevalo a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Asaf , thanks for joining us today. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
In order to be successful you have to be persistent and consistent with your plans in order to achieve your goal.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I have been in the real estate industry for six years now. Prior to that I was an insurance agent for five years working for an independent brokerage. The main reason I got into real estate was because of the potential financial and financial freedom, and thankfully it’s been nothing but blessings. My business is 99.9% referrals, which shows my clients trust me 100% with their friends and family. I specialize in selling REO’s, short sales, estate sales as well as regular sales. My team of 2 agents help first time buyers, investors and relocation from out of state. I really pride myself in my service and experience, I have helped people obtain the ultimate dream of homeownership, regardless of their immigration status. My team of lenders have programs that work with individuals that no social security number or are in the process of attaining one. Last year I was included in the first ever top 250 presidents club for my company, it was an honor to be named among the most successful agents in the country. I currently have a steady business that allows me to give back to my community by volunteering in the meals on wheels program and coaching my sons soccer team. My ultimate goal is to grow my Real Estate Team and mentor more agents!
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
A lot of my clients have had really bad experiences with other realtors, and when they are referred to me and we are able to help them buy or sell their house they are beyond grateful. Most of the time the main issue is communication, once a listing agreement is signed or a preapproval is received. Some agents don’t well following up with clients and that leads to them feeling lost and abandoned. I make sure to follow up with my clients at least twice a week even if there are no updates.
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
The most efficient strategy to grow your business it’s service and honesty. Without it repetitive business won’t happen.
