Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Aryn Carter. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Aryn, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s jump to the end – what do you want to be remembered for?
As a young Entrepreneur, I always look at my mommy and aunt, both business women in Atlanta and they are always making prople smile. I watch them serve people in the community daily and I love that feeling. I hope that with every lemonade I sell, I am helping people smile while being refreshed. I want to leave the kind of legacy that makes people remember me, me product, and how it made them feel!

Aryn, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is Aryn, I am a 10 year old entrepreneur. At the age of 5 I asked my mommy if I could start a business, instead of getting Christmas presents. My mom was elated and granted me my wish. I started off selling lip gloss and saved my money from my lip gloss business to purchase my lemonade machines. I currently sell lemonade at various vending events and have been given special opportunities to sell at Effect Fitness, Slutty Vegan, and at the Black Village Market. Yes, I consider myself blessed. My next goal is to have a pizza joint, so I told my mommy that I can’t spend any money until I reach my goal. I am very disciplined about saving my revenue in order to reach my goal. My secret mentor is Ms. Pinky, at Slutty Vegan. I want to own a chain of pizza joints, like she own a chain of businesses. I just completed a summer business course with HEY ATLANTA, where they taught us how to budget our money, start a successful business, and they gave us seed money to further our existing businesses.
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
Well, I had to pivot when I went from lip gloss to selling Lemonade. I absolutely love both both they are two different products. It didn’t really cost a lot when I sold lip gloss. I could buy trinkets off of Amazon and stock up. However, for the lemonade business, I had to invest in big lemonade machines, buy the syrups, cups, straws, fresh fruit, candy, whip cream, and cleaning supplies to run an outstanding business. So of course, that required me to pivot in my mindset and my finances in a big way!

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Oh, I am a go getter. I love to see my goals come to past. I am determined to exceed and be excellent in everything that I do. You have to be resilient in business because like my mommy tells me, things are not always going to work out like you planned, but keep going., dont stop, greater is in front of you! Greatness exists in all of us, so keep finding your greatness!
