We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Aryan Sachdeva a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Aryan , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Do you wish you had waited to pursue your creative career or do you wish you had started sooner?
“Any action is often better than no action, especially if you have been stuck in an unhappy situation for a long time. If it is a mistake, at least you learn something, in which case it’s no longer a mistake. If you remain stuck, you learn nothing.” — Eckhart Tolle
I believe that starting a new thing is one of the most difficult things to accomplish. It is always filled with doubts and uncertainty about what is and what is going to be, and it’s natural to feel hesitant when embarking on a new journey. However, it’s important to remember that taking the first step, no matter how small, can be incredibly powerful.
If I could go back in time, I don’t think I would like to start my creative career earlier. I think the ability to tell stories came at the time when I was ready for it. Starting my creative career earlier might have meant more time to hone my craft, but it would have also meant missing out on the valuable lessons and experiences that came with balancing multiple interests.
Moreover, starting later or at the same time allowed me to gather diverse experiences that enriched my narratives. And now when I look back, I enjoy every little part of the journey. In essence, while the idea of starting earlier might seem appealing, I believe the timing of my journey has been perfect for my personal and professional development. The ability to tell stories came when I was truly ready for it, and embracing each step, with all its uncertainties and challenges, has led me to where I am today.
I wouldn’t change a thing.

Aryan , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Greetings, I am Aryan Sachdeva, and I consider myself a dreamer and a storyteller at once. One who rapidly thinks and tries to find why? Because an osmosis always keeps happening within, drifting me between what is and what’s not!
I am fueled by an insatiable curiosity, a desire to explore the depths of human experience and the vast tapestry of life. My journey has been one of constant exploration, delving into the hidden corners of my city and uncovering stories that often go unnoticed. Through my writing, I strive to capture the essence of these moments, painting vivid pictures with words and evoking emotions that resonate deeply.
My work is a reflection of my belief that every place has a story, every person a narrative waiting to be told. It’s about finding beauty in the mundane, meaning in the ordinary, and magic in the everyday. As I navigate through the complexities of life, I aim to inspire others to see the world with fresh eyes, to embrace their own stories, and to seek out the extraordinary in the seemingly insignificant.
Life, to me, is an ever-unfolding story, a series of interconnected tales that shape who we are and who we become. It is this belief that drives me to write, to share, and to connect. In the end, we are all storytellers, weaving the fabric of our existence with each word, each moment, and each breath. And it is through this collective narrative that we find our true selves, our purpose, and our place in the world.
My work has been featured in prominent publications such as Hindustan Times, Times of India, and Outlook Traveller. I have had the honor of being interviewed by Korn Ferry India in their Different Stroke program, where I shared my perspectives with over 120 attendees across the country.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
For me, the most rewarding aspect of being an artist or creative is the ability to see the world from a perspective so beautiful that you never want to return to reality. Getting lost in the world of illusions is a profound and enchanting experience.
Creativity allows me to transform ordinary moments into extraordinary tales, to view life through a lens of imagination where every detail can be woven into a captivating story. This alternate reality is a space where the mundane becomes magical, and the possibilities are endless. It’s a place where I can explore emotions, ideas, and scenarios that might not exist in the real world, yet feel deeply true and resonant.
The act of creating art is a journey into this world of illusions. It’s a process of discovery, where each brushstroke, word, or note reveals new layers of beauty and meaning. In this space, I find freedom and joy, as I’m able to express thoughts and feelings that might be constrained by the limits of reality.
Each time I write, I embark on a journey of exploration, diving deep into human experiences, historical contexts, and everyday moments that often go unnoticed. Capturing these stories and sharing them allows me to touch lives, provoke thought, and sometimes even spark change. It’s incredibly fulfilling to know that my work can bring a sense of wonder, reflection, or comfort to someone, perhaps even guiding them through their own struggles or helping them see the beauty in their own lives.
