We were lucky to catch up with Aryan Rashed recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Aryan thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. How did you scale up? What were the strategies, tactics, meaningful moments, twists/turns, obstacles, mistakes along the way? The world needs to hear more realistic, actionable stories about this critical part of the business building journey. Tell us your scaling up story – bring us along so we can understand what it was like making the decisions you had, implementing the strategies/tactics etc.
I don’t think there is such a thing as an overnight success. TREMBLE was the culmination of many years of teaching, building communities, connecting and understanding people, learning how to build a brand, lots of education and continued education internally, and building a team of leaders along the way. We’ve made many mistakes along the way but it’s about resilience and agility and the ability to reframe those moments in learning lessons.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
What started as a passion for fitness and connection evolved into something I couldn’t have really imagined today. I’m not a story about someone who always wanted to build a company – it happened more organically for me as I realized the impact of what we were doing and my vision began to change as we were doing it. TREMBLE is about people first and foremost. Any workout can change your body but what will change your life? I’m really proud that we are a brand grown out of Miami and female founded. It’s amazing to see that so many people domestically and internationally now want to see a part of Miami in their communities.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
The pandemic took a massive hit on businesses, as we all know. During that time, we did has much as we could on the back end to grow, including revamping training, education and marketing. We developed great partnerships, redesigned studios, focused on hiring, and signed new leases and new locations so that when we could operate again, we would be ready. We turned fear around. Working through a hard time is a completely different skill set. It’s something I’ll never forget.
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
After graduating law school, you focus so much on what is fair and unfair and those distinct lines fade when you’re the world of customer service. The business helped me realize what service is really about at the end of the day. Everything boils down to the customer, their experience, and how you treat your team. Profitability and metrics are nothing if you don’t nurture the human element.
