We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Artist Love. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Artist below.
Hi Artist, thanks for joining us today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
I was 8 years old, mindlessly wandering through my home. I heard my mom calling me to watch a movie; Breakin’, a film of breakdance culture. The creation of an artist.
Ever since then, dance was my identity; and as I grew older, I’d became more exposed to different arts. Creativity was my life. It is my life.
Meeting continuous creatives, the energy of art surrounded me and became all I wanted to feel around me. My goal is to create that global community through art. The world is art. I just want to express that.
Artist, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Yea! On a professional note, I’m a Digital Content Specialist, creating photo and video content for your brand. My job is to help make marketing your business easier! I’ve worked with fashion designers, nail techs, tattoo artists, models, and more. The next question in your head is “have I ever had a Content Specialist?” If the answer’s no, don’t worry! That’s where I come in at. Email ‘[email protected]’ the words “I’m ready.” if you’re ready to grow your business!
Outside of that, I’m a kreative. I take pictures of my partner, be in the studio with my brother, or being creative with other artists. My dream is to be surrounded by art and the beauty of it. That’s my vision. I want to succeed with others through creativity. So in the end, we can all just express ourselves freely and comfortably within our art.
I’ve always been an artist, and no matter what goes on, it’s a beautiful day to be an artist.
What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?
Support. Parents support your kids’ dream to be a designer, author, comedian. Friends should support each other’s plans to direct movies, model runways, sculpt vases. Positive engagement and feedback goes a very long way. Being funded for our art properly does as well.
Artists have to live in this life too – meaning we pay bills, pay for food, pay for transportation, self care, hygeine, communication and everything else everyone pays for in this world.
So pay us.
Pay for that 18×24 canvas from that kid down the street. Pay for the lady at starbucks to take your pictures; she’s the reason why hanging family photos is a thing. Pay for that book that your cousin wrote, because he may write your next favorite read. And if you can’t pay right now, share that artist to those around you. You may help someone out. :-)
We love creating art for you to love. We love creating art for us to love. Why force us into being a struggling artist?
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
Freedom. Full…Creative…Freedom. I’m in my own world. I’m happy. I’m at peace. That’s what’s most rewarding of being an kreative.
