Hi Arpita, thanks for joining us today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
We started the med spa as a side hustle in 2017. After exploring several ventures, such as an IV infusion clinic in a co-working space and a mobile med spa using an Airstream, we realized there was a greater demand for a more traditional yet innovative approach. This led us to focus on expanding our brick-and-mortar locations. Since then, we have grown from one med spa to three and have set our sights on further expansion in 2025.
What sets our journey apart is our strategic approach to market selection. We deliberately chose to open in areas that were underserved and not overly saturated, allowing us to serve a diverse range of clients from all backgrounds. This decision was driven by a combination of passion and a deep understanding of the industry’s potential for growth. We were not just solving a problem that others had overlooked but also bringing a fresh perspective to how med spas could operate and expand. The excitement came from building something unique and seeing firsthand the positive impact we were making in these communities.

My journey into medicine was inspired by my father, whose accident as a child resulted in a fused knee joint that could no longer bend. His experience and dedication to helping others sparked my interest in medicine at an early age. Together, we traveled to clinics across the globe—from India to Africa, Mexico to Haiti—volunteering and learning about the profound impact of medical care.
In 2017, my partner and I founded Iconic Skin Clinic. While my path shifted from traditional medicine to aesthetics, the core mission remained the same: to bring joy and well-being to others. We have been fortunate to serve a diverse range of communities, particularly in areas that previously lacked access to advanced medical aesthetic services.
What sets us apart is our commitment to innovation and quality. We are passionate about offering the latest and most effective treatments, ensuring our clients receive top-notch care. We take pride in building meaningful connections with our clients and providing personalized services that truly make a difference in their lives.
How’d you meet your business partner?
My partner and I first met while working at Mosaic Medical Clinic, and I am so grateful for that connection. After not working together for three years, we reconnected by chance at a Christmas party. She envisioned starting an aesthetics clinic, while I was interested in laser hair removal. We decided to combine our passions and began with an infusion clinic. Since then, we have evolved and now focus on both aesthetics and laser hair removal. That unexpected meeting turned out to be one of the luckiest days of our lives, laying the groundwork for everything we’ve built together.

Our reputation has been built on a foundation of honesty, integrity, and a genuine commitment to providing the best care possible.
