We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Arnold Pinel. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Arnold below.
Arnold, appreciate you joining us today. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?
For me, the most important aspect is resilience. It is a mindset, you have it or you don’t, not only in business but in life in general.
Success rarely comes without facing obstacles, setbacks, and failures along the way.
Most of your friends or relations will not support your new business, people talk a lot but do not act.
But finding the strength to bounce back from these challenges, to stay determined and focused on your goals, often makes the difference.
There is no question that personal drive and effort are crucial, but you shouldn’t underestimate the power of collaboration and the support of others.
Think about it: very few successful people reach their goals entirely on their own.
They often have mentors who guide them, peers who support them, and networks that open doors for them. And this is the second hard part to find these people.
While resilience is essential, so too is recognizing the value of teamwork, mentorship, and community. Building strong relationships, seeking out mentors, and being open to learning from others can all significantly enhance our chances of success.
Ultimately, it’s about finding the right balance between self-reliance and the willingness to ask for help when needed. Success is rarely a solo journey, and by embracing collaboration and support, you can achieve far more than you ever could alone.
To be successful, you need to be resilient and surrounded by a good team.

Arnold, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Myne Global, our company is committed to providing affordable and comprehensive protection solutions for valuable items like watches, jewelry, cars, collectibles, art,… ensuring peace of mind and a chance of recovery in the unfortunate event of theft or loss.
We address the growing demand for comprehensive valuables protection, especially in response to rising crime rates, global insecurity, and natural disasters. The illegal trade of stolen goods is booming, with criminals effortlessly selling a variety of items such as watches, jewelry, electronics, and artwork. This illicit market operates through channels like pawn shops, online platforms, and secret networks. Our solution is designed to diminish the appeal of these stolen items to potential buyers and complicate the sale process.
Our global database streamlines valuable registrations, creating an effective system for flagging stolen items. The process involves detailed descriptions, serial numbers, photographs, and other identifying information crucial for ownership verification.
This defensive measure generates an indelible digital record, making erasure challenging.
In theft events, these registered details are vital for item identification and recovery.
Serving various entities, including retailers, online sellers, auction houses, and pawnbrokers, our database acts as a reliable resource, verifying item status and significantly reducing the trade of stolen goods. This transparency deters thieves, as they’re aware of the ease of tracing and reclaiming stolen items.
Law enforcement benefits greatly, Stolen items’ registration provides actionable information, aiding recovery and arrests, not only in individual cases but also in disrupting broader networks dealing with stolen goods.

Can you open up about a time when you had a really close call with the business?
In February 2023, we successfully secured financing through a venture capital firm and Silicon Valley Bank (SVB). Everything seemed set for a smooth transaction in April. However, in mid-March 2023, SVB unexpectedly declared bankruptcy. The news sent shockwaves through our plans, causing chaos and uncertainty.
The situation took a dire turn when the venture capital firm, fearing potential losses, decided to pull out of the support they had initially agreed upon. Despite the turmoil, we refused to be defeated. While many of the bank’s clients eventually recovered their funds, we found ourselves without the financing we had counted on.
This setback was undoubtedly a dark moment for us. However, we refused to let it define our future. Instead, we regrouped, explored alternative options, and charted a new course forward.
While the experience was undoubtedly challenging, it ultimately catalyzed our evolution. Today, despite the unexpected hurdles we faced, we emerged from it stronger, more resilient, and better positioned for success than ever before.

Any advice for managing a team?
I always welcome communication and actively encourage team members to express their thoughts, concerns, and ideas fostering a sense of trust and transparency within the team. Always taking the time to listen and engage with team members, whether it’s through regular one-on-one meetings or team discussions, helps ensure that everyone feels valued and heard.
Additionally, I believe in the power of empathy. Understanding and empathizing with team members’ perspectives, challenges, and emotions can go a long way in building strong connections and fostering a positive work environment. By putting yourself in their shoes, you can better address their needs, offer support when necessary, and cultivate a culture of compassion and understanding.
Lastly, being approachable and relatable as a leader is key. Creating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere where team members feel comfortable coming to you with questions, feedback, or concerns is crucial for maintaining morale. Showing genuine interest in their well-being, recognizing their contributions, and providing support and encouragement when needed helps create a sense of belonging and motivation within the team.
In summary, effective team management and maintaining high morale involve prioritizing communication, practicing empathy, and being approachable as a leader. By fostering a culture of open communication, understanding, and support, you can create a positive and productive work environment where team members feel valued, motivated, and empowered to succeed.
