Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Armelle Edoh. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Armelle, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you tell us the backstory behind how you came up with the idea?
I fell seriously ill and after final diagnosis I started looking into self-healing journey. I made a list of things to change about my lifestyle, and one important thing is to do more of what give me joy. Cooking and styling food and serve it to family and friends gives me joy. And since I was on a healing journey, I decided to start sharing about the healthy eating journey I embark on. But since I no longer have enough energy to entertain a big crowd, I can at least show them how to cook what I am making by sharing recipe and enticing food picture. And by doing so I started blending my own salt free spices for health-conscious people.
Armelle, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Armelle Dede Edoh. I’m a Certified Professional Project Manager and, Digital creator, a wife, and mother of three living in the Minneapolis, Minnesota. I was born in Togo (West Africa) with strong family ties in Ghana and Benin. I passionately love creating amazing recipes, styling my food. Six months into start posting food picture on social media, Brands started reaching out to me for campaign services. That is when I realized people do get paid for content development. I therefore started reading about it and joining bloggers workshops. The rest is history since I’ve been doing what I am passionate about and getting paid for it! My diverse background gives a flavorful fusion to my culinary talent.
Having developed food sensitivities over the years, I carefully select ingredients I cook with. Which brought me into creating some basic salt free seasoning blend that I started selling on Etsy and Amazon and some local specialty stores.
Savourous is a space where I share my savory cooking recipes mostly from minimally processed, natural ingredients using most of the time Savourous gluten-free, salt-free, chemical-free, kosher, USDA approved organic seasonings.
Finding ideas for a fresh meal everyday can be a headache; it doesn’t have to be because I’m here to inspire.
I’ve devised short YouTube videos to help my followers explore healthy and creative ways to enhance their relationship with food.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
For me it is about being authentic. Sometimes I will hear about new strategy or campaign style that is working for other bloggers, but if it doesn’t fit into my personality, I do not participate. I only work with Brands and products that are good fit for my niche.
Are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
I wish I learn SEO earlier in the game so I can make my best contents more searchable from the beginning.
