We were lucky to catch up with Arlene Joseph recently and have shared our conversation below.

Arlene , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Are you happier as a business owner? Do you sometimes think about what it would be like to just have a regular job?

I am happier as a business owner because of the flexibility, freedom and self-fulfilled feeling that it brings. I am able to create my own schedule, spend more quality time with my family, and take more vacations throughout the year. However, being an entrepreneur comes with its challenges. Similar to any developing business, I too have faced challenges that have placed me in uncomfortable and risky positions, thus causing me to navigate the familiar thoughts of going back to a regular job. Yet, I have decided to relentlessly ride out the lean times, which has enabled me to persevere and flourish alongside my business. I take great pride in my work and the success of my business has led to greater creative satisfaction.

Arlene , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

My name is Arlene Joseph and I am the proud owner of Lymphatic Serenity Massage. I am a certified Lymphatic Drainage Massage Therapist located in Miami, Fl. Lymphatic Serenity Massage is a professional, mobile massage service catering to preoperative and postoperative cosmetics surgery patients. We offer massages for Liposuction, Brazilian Butt Lift, Tummy Tucks, and Mommy Makeover. We also offer additional services such as Wood Therapy, Cupping, Body Cavitation, and Tape Method. We have an incredible team of people who proudly provides healthy postoperative meal plans, IV drips, companion care, and transportation.

I initially started my mobile massage service(s) in 2021. It was quite shocking to recognize and understand that this service was in high demand. I made a conscious decision to step into this line of work and prepared myself to strive and deliver the absolute best service. As a result of this, I was able to ensure clients received elevated standards of care by delivering a seamless, transparent, and nurturing experience, thus creating the best outcomes. Massages after cosmetic surgery is very essential. Similar to other surgical procedures, it can naturally cause an increase of stress in one’s mental and physical state of being due to the invasive procedure. Lymphatic Drainage Massage reduces inflammation and fluid retention after surgery. This includes stomach reduction, liposuction of all areas, thighs, inner legs, and arms. It improves muscle tissue recovery and repair, provides relief and pain management, and gives an overall feeling of balance throughout your body.

One of the main fundamentals that I’ve learned along the way is that recommendations can take one’s business a long way. Many clients have stated that they were recommended by friends and family who have previously experienced our services. Clients have always praised us for our amazing customer service and quality of work.

How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?

I keep in touch with my clients via social media and text message. Occasionally, I would reach out to my clients to make sure their healing process is going well. In like manner, my clients usually send updated photos of their healing process to show how their body is flourishing into the desired results. I am notably open with all my clients and always readily available to give advice, and answer any questions or concerns they may have. Fortunately, I’ve been able to build bonds and create genuine connections with majority of my clients.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

I believe my exceptional work, extensive knowledge, and customer service is what helped build my reputation within the cosmetic surgery industry. As for my company, it’s beyond just massages and offering other services. We love to educate our clients about how to properly care for their body mentally and physically for pre and post surgery. We deal with the reality of surgery and our experience in helping clients before and after surgical procedures is unmatched. We work as a team to provide our clients with treatment(s) that are personal and trusted to optimize their experience(s), thus executing the appropriate techniques to yield the best results.
