We recently connected with Arionna Barrett and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Arionna thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
I started my lash journey when my mom told me I needed to have side hustle when I go off to college. Back then lashing was just coming into the picture 2016-2017 and I saw this young lady that located in my city where I stay in charlotte Nc where she was offering a class. The classes about 4 hours long and I instantly liked it and thought maybe I give it a shot when I go off to school, as I take to practice more and more and started taking clients i really started to enjoy it and making my clients feel good about them selves. I had went off to college and it started booming and I gained so many clients in college I started to take it extremely serious and taking in all the compliments I was receiving and took it into consideration that this can be my full time career. Ever since then lashing has become my whole life.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Being a lash tech is not easy being a business owner is not easy in all. Everything comes with a risk and it’s all about taking that risk when starting a business. It doesn’t matter what it is rather starting a new job , no business, having a baby it’s about taking a risk, and seeing where it take you and that’s what it was for me. Having my own business has made me have a different look on things. For my lash sets I try be diverse but firm in what style I offer. I can be suttle but also dramatic like any girl would be lol. I like creating lash looks wether it’s color lashes , glitter charms etc to stand out more and that’s what my brand is all about standing an being different.

We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
I try my best to keep in touch with clients by leading up with follow up texts from there appointments , scheduling pre bookings before they leave , and even trying to throw deals/sales to make them feel appreciated with always staying loyal to me. Without your loyal customers / clients you have no brand and they make my brand what it is today.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
A lesson I had to learn is not to take everything so personally, because you don’t don’t know what others are going through especially your clients some times people lash out at you and you never know what they going through. So sometimes I like to have a vent session with my clients just for them to have a safe place to just relax and be free.
