We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Arielle Morgan a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Arielle, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
I’ve worked on so many meaningful projects with so many meaningful people. A project that I hold super close to my heart is “Lexi & Annie.” This was directed by Carlie Raymond and written by Teagan Trace. It’s based on the importance of mental health. Mental Health is a topic that I’m extremely passionate about. I don’t struggle with depression as much anymore, but I definitely still struggle with the thoughts of it. I have so much empathy and understanding for someone who may be dealing with anything mentally. I still thank the amazing crew for the opportunity to just be present during filming.
Arielle, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m an actress/model. I’ve had many other jobs and interests before I was able to solely just concentrate on acting and modeling. I’ve been doing plays since high school. Since I was like four, I’ve always been interested in film and television. I honestly just didn’t know it was achievable. It seemed as far the moon and the stars. Once I moved to Atlanta I met a few people, things started to just fall into place. I’m most proud of myself for not allowing self-doubt to stop me. I’ve learned throughout life that you have to be your biggest cheerleader. Relying on the validations from others will leave you empty every time.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The FREEDOM is the the most rewarding part. When you get to wake up every day and do what you love to do, it’s a blessing. .Also, I’ve made some life-long connections and friends that I thank God for.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
The goal is way bigger than me. Honestly, I’m the first in my family to do something like this. My mission is to show the ones coming behind me that anything is achievable as long as they’re consistent.
