We were lucky to catch up with Ariel Griffin recently and have shared our conversation below.
Ariel, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We love heartwarming stories – do you have a heartwarming story from your career to share?
I remember years ago I got hired to go into a senior living building to do one of my clients mother’s nails & feet Muriel Glenn I’ll never forget her she was so sweet & was going through alot & her daughter hired me to go to pamper her & make her feel better it was in the winter right before Christmas 🎄 I remember asking her if she could have anything what did she want & she asked for a set of mini perfumes & I remember finishing her service in my mind I knew I was going to make it happen for her I went to the store & found her a perfume set with mini perfumes I surprised her & went back to drop them off for Christmas Eve she was so happy & lit up like a Christmas tree soon after that a few weeks went by she did pass away her daughter called to let me know which I did attend her funeral ♥️ you never know the little things that can be a blessing to someone The meaning of life is to find your gift the purpose of life is to give it away 👑

Ariel, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
What helped me build the reputation within my market was consistency alot of my clients & colleagues referrer me clients because over the years people have seen me constantly work in the beauty field & even when I took breaks in between for maternity leave etc I was able to send clients professional referal list of when I would leave & when I would return to help them not be inconvenienced!

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
The lessons I had to unlearn is it’s okay to ask questions or get help if you don’t understand something growing up in school I had a fear of taking test & I remember being afraid growing up to speak up & advocate for myself & I’ve learned that it’s okay to be unsure of things & to get information & utilize your resources
