We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Arie Rose a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Arie, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Alright, so one thing we think people don’t talk about nearly enough is investments – either time or money. What’s one of the best or worst investments you’ve made and what did you learned from the experience?
Best investment I ever made was investing in myself. Nourishing myself, learning myself.. taking the time to figure out who I was and truly believing in all of my hearts desires. I think for many we are always on the go, always working for someone else, always building somebody’s dream for them. I decided to invest in myself and double down on my dreams. I have grown so much through the process, I have elevated and become a new woman in the process. I have endured many lows and enjoyed many highs but I am honestly thankful for them all. They are the blueprint to who I am today.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I am a woman who can’t be placed in a box. I don’t have a “niche”.. unless being a boss is one. Who knows what qualifies as a niche these days lol. I am a jack of many trades, not all but definitely MANY! From becoming a number one best release author to being an on air co- host with the legendary Bakayboys on 28 stations across the nation (not to mention co-host of the morning show on 102 Jamz in the Bay Area where I am from) to Real estate agent and investor. I do it all, and I do them all well. How? Discipline and time management. I preach this on my social media daily, you have to be willing to sacrifice for your dreams. I don’t like to have temporary satisfaction, I like longevity when it comes to my joy and outcomes. If I get invited out for cocktails with my girlfriends but I know I have a running to do list to catch up on, I am going to pass and get things done. The more we cross off the more free time we will have later. If I don’t have enough time, then I guess we will got to bed a little earlier to wake up earlier and get things done. The only limitations you have are those that you put on yourself. If I make the time then I will have the time to do all the things I love and be great at them.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I built my audience on social media by being authentically myself. I speak my mind and i practice what I preach. I don’t worry about perfection or what the world will think of me. I lead my life with love and respect daily and that is what I give to everyone who comes on my social or meets me in real life. There may be someone reading this right now that is just starting out on social or barely creating their business account, let me tell you something, you are not too late, you are right on time. If it is in your heart go all in and double down on that dream. It will happen for you but start saying no to anything that doesn’t align with your vision.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
I had to unlearn saying yes to everything. When I first moved to LA I thought I had to attend everything I was invited to and be everywhere or I would miss an opportunity. Then I realized I was causing more chaos in my life than progress, it was like I was standing the middle of a tornado spinning with it. I had to learn to sit my butt down and focus on the tasks at hand that would propel me forward in my journey. When I began doing that, God began placing the right opportunities at my doorstep. Sometimes being anxious and having doubt will push your blessings farther from you. It’s the law of attraction, if you think you’ll miss opportunities, guess what, you will! If you think opportunities will come knocking on your door, chances are you’ll get the knock. I guess the lesson at hand is let go and let God. Believe wholeheartedly that everything you want is yours. Be patient.
