Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Arianne Traverso. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Arianne thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. So, folks often look at a successful business and think it became a success overnight – but that often obscures all the nitty, gritty details of everything that went into the growth phase of your business. We’d love to hear about your scaling story and how you scaled up?
When I decided to start Arianne Om consulting + creative marketing I had been 20 years freelancing in graphic design and photography and teaching yoga all around the world. I consider this my gypsy years where I did what I wanted, when I wanted and was satisfied with a simple business and a care free life. It wasn’t until about 2015 when the “adult” bug hit me and I was full on BUSINESS OWNER.
I owned one of the most renowned yoga studios in Miami, was the owner of the largest Yoga and Wellness trade show in Florida, was leading international retreats and mentoring women starting their new businesses.
Something had shifted for this to happen that took me from this carefree nomad to a serious entrepreneur and that was desire for impact.
Now it all sounds like a dream but there was a lot of pain, depression and mistakes along the way.
First of all if you read the first sentence above, I was a freelancer vs a business owner. This is a HUGE difference and one that needs to be noted. The mindset shift that occurred was important and also the responsibility I decided to take on as well.
Scaling means growing and with great growth comes greater things to do. It also comes with a new aspect of you you’re willing to become. Scaling means learning new skills, acquiring new team members, and potentially investing more money.
For example, being a yoga teacher to yoga studio owner means having very little expenses to our sometimes $16,000 months.
Scaling also means diversifying, so when I moved more into being a mentor, consultant and agency owner, I created different revenue streams that weren’t dependent on my time. I wrote a book, created online courses, hired a team to do work for me and delegated tasks to increase my visibility. Again, this required vision, planning and money.
I hired coaches, invested in new knowledge, read more books and most important took action!
Arianne, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
The concept of JUST. I had a lot of limiting beliefs that held me back as an entrepreneur and what my potential was. I considered myself JUST a graphic designer, JUST a yoga teacher.
This was pre-conditioned from my family I think to not make too much noise, to not be seen as over the top… but there’s a rebellious little girl inside of me who wanted more and it took me many years, thousands of dollars to have someone tell me I WAS ENOUGH and it was good to be so.
My lesson definitely brought me to a place in my life where I am a leader vs being led.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
On March 5, 2020 I published my first book and on March 6, 2020 I gave birth to my daughter Solenne. These 2 moments define my mission.
One, my book the Abundant Yogi is a roadmap for new yoga teachers who want to grow their business and it’s a reflection of the impact I want to make in the world. One of my goals is to bring more wellness to the world through heart centered businesses.
My other mission is to empower young girls on entrepreneurship so that they can define their own lives, make their own choices and be leaders in this sometimes male dominated world.
