Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Arianna Longobardi. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Arianna, appreciate you joining us today. It’s always helpful to hear about times when someone’s had to take a risk – how did they think through the decision, why did they take the risk, and what ended up happening. We’d love to hear about a risk you’ve taken.
One of the biggest risks I took to pursue my dream of becoming a beauty and fashion influencer was stepping away from a stable management role to focus more on content creation. Moving from a reliable career path into an industry that’s competitive and unpredictable was a bold decision, especially at just 25. But I felt a strong pull toward this passion and knew I had to take the leap.
I’ve also invested personally in this journey, from purchasing equipment and beauty products to dedicating countless hours to creating content. I understood these upfront costs might not bring immediate returns, but I was committed to establishing a quality presence. Additionally, building a public persona invites both positive feedback and criticism, which can be emotionally challenging. Staying focused on being authentic and resilient has helped me handle both praise and critique as part of the journey.
Balancing content creation with my current management role has been another challenge. It often requires sacrificing personal time to create content, but I’m committed because I believe in my goals. I’ve also developed professional relationships in the industry, like participating in a shapewear campaign, which taught me a lot about managing brand partnerships and the importance of professionalism. Each risk I’ve taken brings me closer to achieving my dream, and I’m grateful for the growth that comes with it.
Arianna, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Hi! I’m Arianna, a 25-year-old aspiring beauty and fashion influencer with a passion for helping people feel confident and stylish in their own skin. My journey into this industry has been one of intentional shifts and bold risks. Starting out in management roles in other fields, I ultimately realized that my true calling was in creating content and building a community where I could share beauty tips, fashion inspiration, and body positivity.
Through my Instagram, @ariannavioletgrace, I share a range of beauty and fashion content, from everyday styling tips and makeup tutorials to product recommendations and brand collaborations. I also enjoy supporting campaigns, like a recent shapewear promotion, which allowed me to showcase how style and confidence intersect. My goal with all my content is to make fashion and beauty accessible, empowering others to experiment with new styles and embrace what makes them feel amazing.
One thing that sets me apart is my commitment to authenticity. I understand that building a community means being real and relatable, sharing both the highs and the challenges of this journey. I want my followers to know that style doesn’t have to be complicated or exclusive, and I aim to inspire confidence no matter their budget or body type.
What I’m most proud of is the connection I’ve built with my followers. My background in management taught me the importance of communication and professionalism, and I apply those skills here by actively engaging with my audience, listening to their needs, and incorporating their feedback into my work. I’m so grateful to have a space where I can share my voice and make an impact on others’ lives.
For those just getting to know me, I want them to know that my work is all about community and empowerment. I hope that through my journey, I can continue inspiring others to embrace their unique style and feel confident in every part of their lives!
What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?
To truly support artists, creatives, and a thriving creative ecosystem, I believe society needs to first recognize the value of creative work beyond just its entertainment factor. Art, fashion, beauty, and content creation all contribute deeply to culture and individual well-being, and they deserve more appreciation as essential parts of our lives.
One key way society can help is by creating more affordable opportunities for artists to access resources. Things like grants, subsidized studio spaces, and professional development programs could make a big difference, especially for emerging creatives who might not have the financial support or industry connections. Making education in the arts more accessible is also important. This doesn’t just mean traditional degrees; it’s about offering accessible workshops, mentorships, and online resources so people of all backgrounds can grow their skills.
Additionally, I think we need to embrace diverse voices and perspectives. Supporting platforms that highlight underrepresented artists, whether through community events, social media, or local showcases, helps create a more inclusive creative ecosystem where everyone feels they belong.
Lastly, society can support creatives by normalizing fair compensation. Often, people don’t realize the time, skill, and financial investment that goes into creative work. By valuing and fairly compensating artists, society shows that it respects and sustains the creative ecosystem, allowing it to grow and thrive. A world that respects and invests in creativity is one where we all benefit.
Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can provide some insight – you never know who might benefit from the enlightenment.
One thing non-creatives might struggle to understand about my journey is the depth of commitment and emotional investment that goes into building a career in content creation. It might look like just taking photos or posting videos, but there’s so much more behind the scenes—countless hours of planning, editing, learning new skills, and creating content that’s authentic and resonates with people. Staying true to a creative vision while also keeping up with trends and algorithms is challenging, and it’s a process that requires constant adaptation and persistence.
Another aspect that’s hard to explain is the vulnerability involved. As a creator, I’m sharing parts of myself—my style, ideas, and sometimes even personal struggles. Putting my work out there publicly opens me up to feedback, and not all of it is positive. Handling criticism while staying confident and resilient is essential but can be emotionally draining.
I also think non-creatives might not realize the level of risk involved. Unlike traditional careers, there’s no guaranteed stability or set path forward. Every decision to invest time, energy, and resources is a leap of faith, with the hope that it will connect with others in a meaningful way.
Ultimately, creativity isn’t just about the final product; it’s about the journey, the growth, and the discovery along the way. Every step on this path has been about pursuing my passion, building connections, and inspiring others, which makes all the challenges worth it.
