We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Ariana Jones. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Ariana below.
Ariana, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Was there a moment in your career that meaningfully altered your trajectory? If so, we’d love to hear the backstory.
Yes I actually did have a moment/experience that changed my whole career path.
It happened after my own C-section and everything that came along with the recovery. I went through a really rough recovery — way harder than I expected or ever imagined due to some very rare unexpected complications — and even with all my training, I still felt lost. I kept thinking, “If I’m struggling this much, what about the moms who don’t have any background in this stuff?”
That was honestly a huge turning point for me in my career as a physical therapist.
I realized how little support C-section moms actually get, and it made me want to shift my work toward helping women through that exact phase. It wasn’t a planned decision but after this experience it felt like a pull of exactly what I needed to create for other women.
The biggest thing I took from it is that sometimes your hardest experiences end up showing you where you’re supposed to go next. And now everything I do in my career is rooted in that moment.

Ariana, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m Dr. Ariana, a doctor of physical therapy who specializes in helping C-section moms recover, rebuild strength, and feel at home in their bodies again. I didn’t start my career planning to work in this space, and actually I wanted nothing more than to have two natural births with a Midwife. So, really I like to say this path chose me. After my 2nd unplanned C-section (and the complications that followed), I realized firsthand how little guidance and support women get after birth, especially after major abdominal surgery.
Even with a medical background, I saw firsthand how little guidance there is for moms leaving the hospital with their newborn after Cesarean. They are barely given any info about what is normal, what isn’t, and how to actually heal and do things that will improve their outcomes. I knew I wanted to take everything I’d learned from my training and pair it with my lived experience to support other moms who were feeling the same way.
What I do now:
I founded The Restore Method, where I offer 1:1 online coaching, early postpartum rehab programs, and educational courses/masterclasses for C-section recovery. My work focuses on helping women:
– rebuild core strength safely
– reduce pain, tightness, and scar discomfort
– regain confidence in movement
– understand their bodies after birth
– and feel supported instead of overwhelmed
The problems I solve:
Most moms are sent home with almost no postpartum guidance. They’re told to “take it easy” but also expected to magically bounce back at six weeks then just jump back into exercise. There’s no step-by-step plan, no education about what their body just went through, and no real rehab process, even though a C-section is major surgery. I help bridge that gap. I give women a clear, personalized plan so they don’t have to guess their way through their recovery.
What sets me apart:
I combine clinical expertise with real-life experience. I don’t teach theory, I teach what actually works for moms in the early weeks, months, and even years after a C-section. My approach is gentle, realistic, and supportive without the pressure or “bounce back” mentality. Science-backed education for moms with structure and rooted in compassion.
What I’m most proud of:
Honestly, the messages I get from moms who tell me they finally feel seen, understood, and hopeful again. Women who say they’re moving without C-section pain for the first time in years. Moms who feel stronger, calmer, and more empowered. That’s the biggest reward and drives me to wake up everyday and keep going to spread this message to every C-section mom in the world.
What I want people to know:
The Restore Method is soft, calm, and approachable on purpose, because postpartum can feel anything but that. I want moms to feel like they have someone in their corner, guiding them in a way that’s doable and supportive. My work is rooted in evidence, clarity, and compassion. And whether someone works with me 1:1, joins a program, or just learns from my free content… my goal is always to make postpartum recovery feel less lonely and a whole lot more doable.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
Honestly, the most effective strategy for growing my clientele has been keeping things personal AND educational.
Almost all of my clients find me through Instagram or Tiktok, and what works isn’t fancy marketing or programs- it’s sharing real, helpful information that actually makes moms feel supported. I talk openly about the struggle of my own C-section recovery, what’s normal, what’s not, and the things I wish I had known myself back when I started. That transparency builds trust really quickly.
I’ve also found that offering free, high-value resources (like my C-section recovery guide and masterclass) has been huge. It gives people a chance to get to know my style, see how I explain things, and understand the kind of support I offer before committing to 1:1 coaching.
And honestly, word of mouth has been big too. When a mom feels better for the first time in months, she tells people. That’s the type of “marketing” you can’t replace any other way.
So to sum up my best strategy for growth:
Show up consistently, educate generously, and be a real human. Moms can feel when the support is genuine, and that’s what brings the right people to The Restore Method.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
A story that always stands out for me is from right after my second C-section — the birth I was planning and praying would be my “comeback” birth, a successful VBAC story. Instead, everything took a terrible turn. I ended up with another unplanned C-section that led to some really horrifying complications. Something I thought would never happen to me actually did — I lost a massive amount of blood, had an unexpected hysterectomy, and nothing about my recovery went the way I had anticipated. On top of healing from the C-section, I now had to recover from additional procedures. Waking up in the ICU was terrifying, and not being able to have my baby with me those first nights was honestly heartbreaking.
Even though the experience was something I would never wish on anyone, it showed me how resilient I really am. Trying to get out of bed when I could barely move or lift my legs. Relearning how to walk and feel steady after such intense blood loss and trauma. Pumping and feeding around the clock while barely having the energy to stand. I didn’t know how I was going to manage all of it, but one day at a time, I kept proving to myself that I could do hard things.
There was one morning — day 3 post-op in the hospital — when I tried to take a short walk down the hall. My body just wouldn’t cooperate. I got extremely dizzy and saw spots. I remember thinking, and trusting, “This is not going to be easy, but I will regain my strength step by step.” And little by little, I did. Not perfectly, not always gracefully, but consistently.
That whole period taught me that resilience isn’t about pushing through or pretending everything is fine. It’s about showing up for yourself even when it’s messy, slow, and completely different from what you imagined. And that lesson has shaped the way I support other moms now. I know what it feels like to rebuild from the ground up, and that experience is a huge part of why I do the work I do today.
