We recently connected with AriaKai and have shared our conversation below.
AriaKai, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
It’s Crazy Because I Have Wanted To Sing Ever Since I Was Three Years Old. I Sang “I Will Always Love You” By The Great Whitney Houston At Only Three Years Old, It Was His Birthday. Now I Wasn’t The Best, But At The Moment I Knew It Was Something I Had To Master. Singing Became Very Therapeutic For Me. I Knew It Was A Gift From God & I Could Not Take It For Granted! I Knew That I Would Touch A Lot Of People Bu Just Being Real To Myself & With My Supporters.

AriaKai, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My Name Is AriaKai.. That’s Capital A, Capital K, Spelled Together! It’s A Unique Name I Picked For Myself To Rebrand Who I Am, Because When I First Started Out Doing Music My Name Was K’Loni. I Put My First Mixtape Out Back In 2016 Hosted By Dj TF Brad On Spinrilla and In 2019 I Dropped My Second Ep/Mixtape on All Streaming Platforms And I Put It On My Mixtapes Hosted By Dj Pressure! I Have Worked Really Hard On Becoming The Artists I Am Today & Continuing To Put Out Great Quality Of Music Is What I Am Most Proud Of Myself About!
In This Industry, It’s Important To Remain True To Yourself. The Music Industry, (Even Though I Hate To Say This, But It’s True) Is A very Dirty, Grimey Game And Can Be Mad Unfair To Most Independent Artists. When You Find Your Lane, You Gotta Stand On It! You Can Do Music However You Want, There Are No Rules To How You Do You, Just Do It The Best Way You Know How!
Do you think there is something that non-creatives might struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can shed some light?
I Don’t Wanna Say “Non-Creatives” Because We Are All Creative In Our Own Way. This Is A Very Good Question Because Many Of Us See Other People’s Journey As One Thing, And Most Times That’s Not Until Its Really Brought To Light In The Forefront Of How Successful It Is. I Don’t Think That Is A Struggle To Understand But Everybody Has Their Own Journey. Mine, Has Been Crazy For Sure. I Think The One Thing That People Do Understand Is Time. Time Can Move Fast Or Slow But No Mater What I’ve Learned Everything Takes Time. Time To Heal, Time To Think, Time To Move Forward, Time To Create, Etc. I Ultimately Think A Person Shouldn’t Look To Understand Someone Else’s Struggle But Learn To Understand Their Own & The Time It Might Take To Accomplish What It Is We Set Out To Do!
I’m In A Time Now Where I’m Being Still Because Right Now I Have To Wait On God’s Divine Time For Me. Artists Struggle With Writer’s Block, Lack Of Motivation & Drive, & More. When You Don’t See A Person Being Active, People Begin To Think They Fell Off, But It’s The Opposite. It’s About A Person’s Time, If You Don’t Understand The Creative Process Then Of Course Outsiders Will Struggle With Your Journey.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
For Me, Its The Love, Its The Messages I Receive Just From Someone Feeling Like My Music Touched Them In Some Way. It’s The Satisfaction Of Knowing Your Record Is Meaningful & It Had. A True Message. Music Today Is So Saturated & A Lot Of It Has No Substance. I Want My Music & Anything I Do Whether That’s Hosting, Singing, Modeling, or Acting, I Want My Work & Anything I Touch To Speak For Itself! AriaKai Is The Name, They Won’t Forget Me‼️
