We were lucky to catch up with Ariadna La Rosa recently and have shared our conversation below.
Ariadna, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear about how you went about setting up your own practice and if you have any advice for professionals who might be considering starting their own?
Many years ago, when I was living in Spain, I used to work for a large company. My boss at the time gave us a lot of creative freedom, as long as we were profitable. During that time, I started building not only professional but also business relationships with my clients, and I realized I wanted to achieve it in my own practice.
As for the advice, I have to say it’s a profession that requires continuous learning and training. It’s a painful and physically demanding profession. You must work on your own, always prioritize the quality of your service, the equipment, raw materials, active ingredients, the well-being of your clients, while balancing the numbers. It requires absolute trust in your work and respect for your profession.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I was an athlete in my youth and while in university, studying for my Sports Science degree. I found great interest and passion for the body healing and recovery aspect of the curriculum. I received post-graduate training in massages and specialized in Oriental techniques. I went on to live in Spain, where I trained as a Master Esthetician and opened my first business at the age of 24 with my friend and former business partner.
After 24 years in the industry and continuous training to improve and learn new techniques, I became a Master Esthetician. At my place, you can receive services such as a good deep clean facial, any of the best anti-aging techniques, one of the more effective techniques in lymphatic drainage, body treatments such as anti-cellulite reduction, hair removal with natural pine resin instead of wax. microblading, eyebrow design, among other things.
My clientele is build upon referrals, they value the professionalism and personalization that my business provides, and I pride myself in tailoring treatments to each of my clients instead of dropping quality in order to treat as many as possible.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
Guaranteeing the quality of the offerings I provide, so that my clients become the best advertisement for my work. The best clientele is the one that comes to you by referrals and word of mouth.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
My first priority has always been the end result and the well-being of my clients. I feel that has been the greatest differentiator in the market.
