Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Arely Fonseca . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Arely, thanks for joining us today. What do you think it takes to be successful?
Being successful is measured differently by every individual. It’s important to personally define how you perceive success. I have learned that it’s so important to surround yourself with positive influences. Their enthusiasm and positive outlook in life can be contagious and therefore motivate you to work towards your goals. I personally cannot emphasize more how having good support system can provide your with valuable advice and a supportive environment for growth,
Arely, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’m a Houston hairstylist and makeup artist serving the area since 2005. I started as an apprentice at the Upper Hand in a program designed by Lanier Middle School to introduce different career paths to young students. I immediately fell in love with the industry. Around the same time I met Luis Miranda, a salon owner and he had his place in the Galleria area, Mid Lane to be exact. I would help after school with light duties and learned so much with him along the way. He continues to be my mentor and I value his guidance. Once I graduated beauty school in 2004 I had an offer at a salon in the Rice Village area where I worked for 13 years. I took a leap of faith 6 years ago and followed my heart to work independently, I’m so grateful that I did, I have 2 children, Julia and Andres and they are definitely my motor to continue to reach more goals and set an example of hard work and dedication. I strive to provide an environment that’s inviting and inclusive. I invite you to schedule an appointment and let me we help you reach your hair goals or glam you up for a special event!
Located in the heart of Houston. I am a Brazilian Blowout Certified stylist and I offer an extensive array of services including hair color, haircuts and more. A family oriented business that welcomes your little ones or your fur baby.

How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
I personally communicate with all my clients and have established a comfortable environment where we maintain open communication by text or IG. I find that offering a personalized experience and staying away from the generic mindset can help you establish clientele that is loyal and appreciative of your craft. A spontaneous gesture of gratitude goes a long way, remembering birthdays or just pampering with an extra service definitely helps reinforce that bond.
What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
My lovely clients are my promoters, they trust me and send me along their friends and family. I also get new clients by social media but honestly word of mouth has been my number one source.
