Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Areli Luz. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Areli, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Risking taking is a huge part of most people’s story but too often society overlooks those risks and only focuses on where you are today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – it could be a big risk or a small one – but walk us through the backstory.
For my journey, personally, the fist biggest risk I took was right after college. I had just finished my BBA in Business Marketing at UTEP (University of Texas at El Paso), and instead of getting a 9-5 I decided to take a one-way flight ticket to Australia, this is when the entire trajectory of my life shifted. I decided to purse my dreams of traveling and creating a life of absolute freedom. This first big risk helped be cultivate an important life skill of trusting myself, being courageous and making bold moves, even when it initially makes no sense at all. As well as paving my own path and creating a lifestyle that is completely alternative.
The backstory is that I first discovered the magic of traveling when I went to study abroad to Milan, Italy – I was studying Fashion Marketing at the time. What I realized is how much growth I experienced on all levels from living in another country. I quickly fell in love with the idea of being able to go where ever I wanted, fully led by my intuition and curious Spirit. During that time I decided that getting a normal job and living life according to the “norm” was never meant for me, so this is when I started strategizing my game plan for after college.
It turned out to be the best decision I’ve ever made in my life – I travelled for almost 5 years after that, I’ve visited and lived in over 20 countries and I now run my online coaching business alongside hosting international transformational retreats. I truly believe that I wouldn’t be where I am, if I wouldn’t have taken that bold risk many years ago.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m a Women’s Mentor and Retreat Leader, my work specializes in supporting women in nourishing their feminine energy, stepping into their roles as leaders by being in their service and also working with earth-based wisdom.
The journey started over 10 years ago when I went through my spiritual awakening, and devoted to walking the path of the Highest Evolution for my Soul. My whole life I knew I had a gift / ability for making people feel safe and heard. Since I was a little girl people from all ages would come to me for advice. I initially thought it was normal and perhaps everyone would experience something similar, until I realized I had something powerful and unique to share.
My work has evolved over the years, I initially started doing tarot readings, EFT (emotional freedom technique), reiki, and spiritual life coaching – now I’m more focused Feminine Leadership programs and in person transformational experiences while incorporating Earth Medicine.
I offer 1:1 mentorship programs, group programs, group retreats and 1:1 retreats.
The biggest problems I solve in my online work:
1. Getting over the limitations / blockages women first experience when they are wanting to step into their roles as feminine leaders
2. The imbalance of feminine / masculine energy women experience when being at a high-level position in leadership
3. The lack of direction + clarity many women experience in their lives when they’re moving through a big transition
The problems we solve in our retreats:
1. The disconnection from self, God and Nature most people experience in their busy lives
2. Burnout, stress, overwhelm (all of our retreats are in epic luscious nature locations, this naturally helps them come into balance and peace).
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
Consistency, devotion, providing a great + impactful experience for my clients, being genuine and authentic, creating intimate relationships with my clients.
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
Word of mouth – provide really powerful results for current clients and they will refer you to everyone they know.
