Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Archana Sirohi . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Archana, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
Naturallydesi cafe started 3 years ago during the pandemic july 2021.which is a culmination of my deep-rooted passion for food. i have been a big foodie from my childhood. being around my mom and helping her out is how love for cooking started for me. Even when i was a kid and my dad would take me to the sweetshop round the corner ,i was always amazed by the process of cooking. the joy of seeing people lit up with good food inspired me to try and continue cooking over the years. The idea having my own restaurant was always there as long as i remember. but the confidence of jumping into the business started with my success in helping with private parties. once i knew that there was positive feedback in general about the plate, i served there was no looking back from there. It’s a dream comes true for me.

Archana, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Naturally Desi represents my love for Indian food and representation of the true and authentic Indian recipes which i have learnt from my family and places i lived and visited. i have tried to include all my years of learning in cooking to make a menu which is inclusive of all Indian cuisines i was exposed to. and moreover, it must be served with a smile on your face which my mother says adds the real taste in your food.
i faced the major problem during covid was hiring. people were not ready to work. there was a hesitation in people for eating out too.
The reason i feel Naturally Desi is different from others lies in the name itself. all my recopies are naturally Indian and lot of things i bring don’t come from a professional settings, but from a home-grown taste. Desi refers to the term used to represent Indians in US and it actually means rustic and authentic. Hense, i feel the name symbolize what sets me apart.

Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
now a days social media is a direct way to stay connected with people. time to time i post about my food, upcoming events and video’s of my work. people like to explore about the places they want to go to eat and they also want to see what we have to offer them. so for us Instagram and Facebook is working great to keep bringing new people and to update to existing customers too.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Do visit us not just for the taste of food but the experience that we offer. we will not just be worth your money but also the time that you are spending with us. we also look for feedback and there is always area of improvements, so don’t shy away from giving us honest feedback. i am owner of a new business and humbling requesting the community to help me learn and grow with you.
as, i said earlier, this restaurant for me is not only a business and means to earn money, but it is the culmination of my calling and an attempt to bring the natural and desi flavors to a foreign land. so, if someone visits us, i hope they will go back with a full belly and fuller heart.
