We were lucky to catch up with Anziz Az recently and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, Anziz Az thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.

Starting We Rising was never a long term idea of mine. I was given the opportunity to do one show and after the success of what it meant for the artists, I therefore realized how much it affected me too positively. The blessing to have a platform to give indie artists to perform in front of their friends and new fans is incredible, let alone if it’s their first ever stage presence.

Anziz Az, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I’m a music producer and as my job is it’s to serve the artists. I started We Rising just to put all my artist friends on a stage to performs since i’ve been offered the platform, and also to fix the challenge any indies face looking for any opportunity to showcase their talents in front a crowd. Therefore I created a sigma around the show that get indies get paid to perform instead of their paying to play. I’m very proud to have field 125 talents total over the last 12 episodes as we just celebrated the 1 year anniversary. it’s incredible to see what the brand became, I would have never imagine that.

How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?

The challenge any artists encounter in this day and age is promo support. We are blessed to be in generation which sharing your friends work cost you nothing as that’s what can help move further with their art. Also come support their performance at We Rising to encourage them to keep pushing their crafts.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?

The goal has been the same thing since the beginning, push the brand as higher up possible to hopefully get to partner with Live Nation as my view of opener for major concerts could be from We Rising.
