Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Anupama Trigunayat. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Anupama, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Learning the craft is often a unique journey from every creative – we’d love to hear about your journey and if knowing what you know now, you would have done anything differently to speed up the learning process.
I was always fascinated by colors and their combination .I am indeed a self taught artist painting for last three decades .My experimentation with colors and different mediums became a passion and resulted in a birth of a craft of creativity and an artist. My magnetic attraction towards abstraction and imaginative forms and shapes always communicated to me a thought – a revelation of my core and my connection with the Universe. Eventually my art and my canvasses became a reflection of my own spirit . Learning and mastering the craft has been an ongoing process. Each canvass is a new beginning .

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
Abstract art, in the purest sense, uses a kind of visual language to present concepts that can be independent from real-world visual references.
I Anupama Trigunayat am an abstract artist .a
An abstract artist, animal lover, wife, educator, and author –I have had the opportunity of living in various countries due to my husband’s job. This provided me with the perfect opportunity to head various charitable organizations. It also gave me the chance to witness the various traditions and cultures around the world. I drew inspiration from these experiences that positively influenced both my personal life and her my life and work as an artist. I have written books on early childhood education. A trained singer and Kathak dancer, Art and creativity was always my core interest .
I I am an self-taught abstract artist, And been painting and expressing my art for over three decades. The form, shape and array of colours in my paintings are a reflection into my abstract knowledge and surreal imagination. My paintings are a getaway to my own inner self as I try and portray everything that moves and inspires me .Living abroad has allowed my art to cross boundaries and stimulate the views and techniques of the art world abroad.
My art is my prayer that depicts my inner spirit and personality through every stroke of my paintings. My art expresses my belief of no boundaries and politics in the world of art – art is limitless yet united through its purest form across nations, connecting the common man and woman with their daily lives. My version of a vacation starts with a new canvas, weaving a new story with every stroke of my brush.
Given the current scenario with the world inflicted by the pandemic, It is my endeavors to work closely with the art community with a more inclusive and “all artist and all media” approach. Technology and virtual media have assumed a tremendous influence amidst the current COVID-19 pandemic plaguing the world. I try to utilize these technological advancements as a vital medium for showcasing my art to the world from the safety and comfort of my studio.
My art has been displayed in solo and group exhibitions in India as well as all around the world. Living abroad, I have always put in efforts to promote Indian Arts and Artists on the international platform. Currently,I am the president of the UNESCO Club of Art and Culture and Letters of Achaia and Zervas International Federation of Art, Delhi NCR. I have had the honor of being the president of the International Women’s Club, Moscow – the largest organization of women in the world. There too we promoted art and creativity of various countries .

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
For me it’s the my freedom of imagination to fly free of rules and boundaries .. to be able to transfer my emotions and ideas through my free strokes on to my canvas.. The absolute delight and pleasure when your viewers not only like your work but interpret it and find their connections and their stories . My creativity becomes my connecting zone with the universe .
When after the hustle and bustle and tiring days when person smiles looking at my artwork because it makes him or her happy .
The satisfaction of continued self discovery of finding resolutions in my splash of solution of colors .., As long as it speaks to me get my feelings going and my mind growing, we are all set. That is truly meaningful art.

In your view, what can society to do to best support artists, creatives and a thriving creative ecosystem?
Sir Peter Bazalgette, writing for the Guardian, says that “the primary reason we make both public and private investments in the arts is for the inherent value of culture: life-enhancing, entertaining, defining of our personal and national identities.”Remove the arts and “you’re left with a society bereft of a national conversation…about its identity or anything else,” unquote Intodays times of polarization inconvenient truths suppressing public opinions in times of pandemic and mental and emotional distress and insecurities it’s all the more important and imperative that creativity and art and artists are given space and relevance . And developed and used as a tool to drive happiness contentment positivity and hope and healing .
The grave misconception all around that art is for decorating your walls has to be argued . Every discipline needs a creative thinker and a mind full of innovative ideas and different strokes .and people to appreciate. So the art fraternity world wide is indeed critical in not only shaping ideas into definitive forms but also give it a structure to move forward . We the art community are the binding force of one world . The society communities countries and company’s should endeavor to promote creativity of people . Take steps to subsidize schemes and policies for creative lot . Bring out initiatives to encourage more talent and bring out the creative minds whether on paper or canvas or boardrooms . Creativity is contagious and we need this in our systems .Give time and opportunity to less fortunate and help them focus more . Creativity and art should be treated and developed as an immeasurable natural ability and respected
