We were lucky to catch up with Antwonette Elijah recently and have shared our conversation below.

Antwonette, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Has Covid resulted in any major changes to your business model?

I started this business due to Covid. It allows me to think outside of the box and create different products and ideas to my customers during these difficult times.

Antwonette, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

Unboxed is an event planning company that specializes in outdoor experiences. Luxury catered picnics and bell tent events is how we got started. The pandemic made it difficult to celebrate those special moments, so we wanted to create away to do that. Creating experiences and memories that will last a lifetime is our goal.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?

The most rewarding thing about being a creative is having an business that allows you that space you create.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?

This summer has been extremely hot, even for Texas! We add floating brunch and floating picnics which allows our clients to enjoy our services in a refreshing pool setting.
