We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Antwon Bryant a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Antwon , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s jump to the end – what do you want to be remembered for?
I pray that I can have an impact on the generation behind me. I work with the youth, not just the youth that share the same blood line with me. I try to impact as many as I can.
I’m from a bad neighborhood and I want the kids from bad neighborhoods around the world to know that it’s more to life. You can be different , you can make it out the projects. You too can be lawyers , judges , movie stars, models etc.
You don’t have to be violent, you don’t have to go to jail, you don’t have to worry about being killed. Travel go to other countries find a different life for yourself. Go beat the odds, get out in this world and win.

Antwon , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I first started as a dancer. Dance has become a outlet to get out of the neighborhood & keep from doing bad things with the people I grew up around. While they were fighting and going to jail, I was dancing and traveling around for performances.
My dance teacher has a twin who designs clothes. He had a casting call looking for models, I decided to go and loved it. For my first walk I did great and got casted for the show. After that show I kept going which got me posted in Vogue , GQ, Elle, Billboards Etc.
As I networked with models , they began sparking convos about acting. I took the advice signed up for a program which got me on multiple T.V shows.
After this I flew to Miami and got gifted with a camera by a production. Which caused me to begin taking pictures, I love pictures but as a dancer I need videos. I began to create my own videos. People loved it now I get booked for videos and photos.
It’s a whole journey that you literally have to fall in love with. You have to want more , you have to be okay being different from the norm that was forced on you.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
I had to learn to not react with anger. The Ppl I grew up around were angry aggressive people. Scream really loudly , move with negative behaviors that don’t need to be shared into the world.
I learned to meditate and create a safe space to store and treat that anger that was trying to get forced on me.
I am now the only person in my family in this field dealing with large amounts of people. Able to run and conduct services for people bringing visions alive in a fun and positive way..
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Marketing is how I built my audience.
I also would create dance videos to the newest songs & also dance tutorials.
For modeling I do walking videos , and behind the scenes videos of my photoshoots and fashion shows. That gave my audience a feel for what the field is like.
Acting I would post the scenes I’m in after the show got Air’d which amazed everyone. They now know some one on the big screen.
With my camera work I would do free shoots to practice my work. Ask models, dancers, Artist, Chefs , Etc To Allow me to build a free campaign for them.
