Antrechelle, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to hear about how you got your first non-friend, non-family client. Paint the picture for us so we can feel the same excitement you felt on that day.
My first client that I received outside of family and/or referrals, came from social media! It honestly felt great to know that something I posted captured that person and allowed them to choose me. Then to work with them, learn about them and their family, it just makes the transaction special. Of course, closing day is great!
Antrechelle, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Going to view model homes was a thing for my mom and I. We would randomly decide to go view model homes in different parts of Houston to see what the latest designs and decor were. From that, I began to do research on my own and developed a love for real estate. I was working for my previous employer and felt it was time to “go all in” with my love for real estate, and which led me to real estate school. I completed my courses and passed the exam on the first round, and here I am today as a full time agent.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
What I think has helped my reputation so far is that you have to be yourself, and know your stuff. Knowing your information and being able to educate your clients is key. Every transaction is not the same and you want to be able to maneuver through those challenges you may or may not encounter.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
During covid, there were several multiple offer situations that my clients and I went through. Those times caused for true resilience to be able to keep your client calm, provide them with the best information for their situation, and knowing how to negotiate with the other side. You may not win them all, but you sure do strive to and that’s what matters most. To win for my client.
