We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful ANTONIO MINISTERI. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with ANTONIO below.
Hi ANTONIO, thanks for joining us today. Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
The most significant project I worked on was the release of my first Album entitled “In Bloom.” It was a work that took more than a year of between composing, recording and finally publishing. The album was released on various music platforms on July 7, 2023 by Little Symphony Records

ANTONIO, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Born in 1989 in the city of Catania, Italy, Antonio Ministeri is a musician and composer. Since he was a child Antonio showed interest for the sound of the piano, this thank to the artistic environment he lived in. Everyone In his family is passionate and lover for music and theater. Started studying classical music, Antonio then moved his appetite for different sounds such as the electronic sounds produced by keyboards and synthesizers. The idea then came spontaneously to write music for images and it become an achievement in 2021 graduating himself in Composition for Applied Music and Sound Design” at the “F. Venezze” Conservatory in Rovigo, and at the same time took part in numerous productions as: composer, arranger, orchestrator, synth programming and sound designer for movies (feature films, shorts, trailers, documentaries) television (commercials,̀ TV series) and record labels.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
Probably the most important aspect of being creative is the possibility of creating something that was not there before. Particularly in music having the possibility through traditional writing or sound sampling and processing processes (analog or digital) to create a piece of music is what is most satisfying to me. So today a composer has so many possibilities to get to create sound material, and the amazing thing is that many of these possibilities are not strictly related to the musical field but are part of the reality around us.

Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative?
The first thing that comes to mind is the relationship with time. We are used to always living in a hurry, trying to get as many things done in as little time as possible. In my opinion, the creative act needs time to be deepened, known, processed.
The speed of contemporary life has certainly transformed the way we are creative. In this reality, technology helps us to create “something of quality” in a time that is certainly faster than in the past.
But despite this, I am convinced that slowness is a fundamental element of the creative process that has now become a luxury that artists cannot always afford.
