We recently connected with Antonio Geiovan and have shared our conversation below.
Antonio , appreciate you joining us today. Let’s jump to the end – what do you want to be remembered for?
I hope my legacy I leave behind is LOVE everything I do I approach it from a loving space because if that isn’t the basis for your intentions things might fall through the cracks . No matter how dark the times may get reminding myself that I love what I do and the people I do it with is so special and brings the light right back in ! Leading with love is the only way in a superficial world where so many people have dark underlying motives for personal gain ! We’re all just trying to have quality of life and enjoy it so why be nasty ? Makes no sense ! LOVE FIRST

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Ever since I was a kid I was always involved in beauty , my grandmother was my first client as all my sibling were older than me and were out and about I was always with grandma doing her makeup and hair and painting her nails ! She always kept herself together and looked tsp glamorous even on her chill days ! As I grew older I was involved with dance and theatre and always did the hair and makeup for the shows and would even cut my own hair ! Post highschool graduation in 2016 I enrolled in Beauty school and immediately fell in love with the whole process ! There’s so much more to this industry then cut and color ! hairdressers have the power to change someone’s perception of themselves by showing them how to take care of their hair and in that allows them to show themselves love as most of my clients are working individuals that have families they tend to forget to fill their cup back up ! Im most proud of the bonds I’ve created with my clients while growing in my craft the last 5 years ! Most of my clients have been with me from the start and have seen my growth from day one . I think it’s important to make sure you are listening and understanding who your clients are and what important to them and finding that common ground and grow from that and you’ll see that bond be unbreakable
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
From the start of my career I’ve been super passionate and anything I was involved in I gave 1000% effort and am unapologetic about it ! I do feel like I’m pretty honest and open to most things and communication so key ! But for the first few years of being a stylist and moving into education at my old beauty school I dealt with all of push back from people who felt insecure with themselves and projected that onto me . I was held back a lot by management and coworkers who made me think they had my best interest at heart but in reality they wanted to keep me close by so I wouldn’t grow past them . Which is why I decided to work in my own suite alone until I found a new salon family that respected my work and who I am but also let’s everyone shine together because your success is my success type vibe ! I’m so happy at Bare Studios Jax ! But it’s take 5 years for this to get here ! So I’ve had to constantly take deep breaths and keep pushing forward and rely on My self and my truth ! Never dim your light for anyone ! And if they try ! Shine brighter and blind them !!!

Is there a mission driving your creative journey?
My mission as an artist is to not only be a household name in the industry but to lead with love and light and help bring out my clients inner vision on themselves to reality !
I love education , so I eventually would love to step away from servicing and mentoring new artists and make them into great hairdressers
